Shoving?

Shoving could be a Taunt feature, shove a guy enough and he'll eventually snap and attack you, that's the only real way I can see it fitting.

your hand should reach out and push the person realistically like Assassin's Creed but better in first person. That would look great.

only problem is, what about when your holding two swords? I guess like the OP said it should only be when you are unequipped.

I would love the ability to shove people like you can do in GTA IV! when you have nothing equipped in one arm (or both arms), you should be able to go up to people and push them. This would provide a lot of extra entertainment for me. What do you guys think?

Oblivion had a system for hitting/pushing NPCs without doing any real damage while no weapon was equipped, they named it hand-to-hand, and called it a combat skill.

Ah, but it could provide useful fighting tactics as well as mindless entertainment. Perhaps while engaged in a battle, you can shove your opponent and, depending on their size and build, could knock them over or at least leave them staggering backwards so that you could flee or deliver more attacks on them.

Maybe like Assassin's Creed, where you run through a crowd and know over everyone. But not like GTA 4 or RDR, where you aim at someone and push.

That'd be fun and quite good. Although, since female khajiit are rather small, I think i'd be getting shoved around a lot by orcs and nords. Meanies!

Well, it's the physics engine in GTAIV and RDR that allowed this, which I thought was pretty damn cool. If they could do something like it here, I would love it. This was possible in Assassins Creed games too, FYI.
