Show us what you are working on #27

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 10:03 am

from AOF's first thread:
A WIP thread for the community

This is a thread intended for the community as a whole. A place to show and discuss with the community what you are working on without the obligation that a "WIP" thread generally implies, for those who are just not quite to the point where their project warrants a formal "WIP" thread, or for whatever reason you might have for not wishing to start a "WIP" thread.

As this is in the Morrowind modding forum please keep whatever you are showing here limited to Morrowind mods or projects that you intend to implement into your game.

So, lets see what you're up to

the rocks are bm_ic_in_rock_04 or something like that, flipped and scaled. they look decent enough but i need to jazz them up to be more like Taddeus' rocks (the rest of the rocks used in those screens).

thanks Knots!

It's the uderfykte from bloodmoon, only much better.

Edit: But now I see it's using a branch instead of that chap's leg, normal troll creature for Morrowind/bloodmoon maybe?

I'll give a critic here. If that is High Rock, the map seems too simple. Those should be Wrothgarian mountains right? It looks more like Wrothgarian (although very high) hill. Check out how Vvardenfell's map has all shades of brown variating diferently.

How can you possibly tell how tall the Wrothgarian Mountains are on that map? The perspective is straight down, and the resolution isn't the greatest either.

I can assure you the mountains are quite mountainous. There are peaks, valleys, plateaus and all kinds of crevices if you catch my drift. Most parts of the map are also largely untouched after the heightmap import, and as Tonal Architect said its quite a poor quality image.

I've been working on changing Creatures, and Certain NPCs, health to be their level times 20. 1x20 = 20. The original idea was double their level then times 10. (1x2)x10 = 20.

I am also thinking about changing things around so the player starts with 100 Health and 100 Endurance (So health increases by 10 per level unless fortified). This is mainly a personally mod though so there is a good chance I wont release it.

Mainly working on architecture and furniture for Daggerfall at the minute
https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/22925394/4/Morrowind/Project%20Tamriel/High%20Rock/April?h=c775ee

The houses shown are middle class ones. The vanilla furniture is just so i kinda know what i need. Still not sure how many different tilesets i need for the cities alone. Was thinking 3 in total. The daggerfall style ones for the most western cities, fancier variations for wayrest, and then some mildy nordic influenced ones for Farrun and Jehanna, perhaps also northpoint.

Once im happy with the major city tilesets interior and exterior plus furniture ill move on to stuff for Nova Orsinium

I guess that means Summerset Isle is up for grabs.

I think I'll do it after Sunfall, but I'm not going to make it a Morrowind mod. I'm going to use TES VI technology to bring the home of the Altmer to life.

That'd be an awesome thing to have. I'm tired of the emptyness in the Abecean Sea.
