May be pain in the ass but how about a version for people who play in 1st person and people who play in 3rd? That way everyone would be happy! :tongue:

I'm new to these boards, so before I post anything about what I'm working on, I want to ask about this. I see a lot of people post their screenshots like this without any description, so when I look at it, I'm not sure if they worked on textures, built a city, or whatever... is this how we're supposed to do it, or is it acceptable to add descriptions next to each photo? Sorry to use you as the example, Cloud, but you just happened to be the most recent one, but it seems to be somewhat the custom here. I figured it was better to ask than stay a lurker forever.

There's no rule or standard. If you wish to explain your images, by all means, post captions/comments along with the images. The thing is, most of us have been playing the game long enough to recognize what is and isn't part of the vanilla game and/or an existing mod, so there's not much need to explain. Other times, the artist has explained before and we assume the screenshots to be related to the same project. There is no standard, however. Remember that.

I've been working on KEENING since December. The city is 98% complete, and now I'm working on quests. My goal is to take the player on a ride to a lot of interesting locations.

http://www.automatichamster.com/keening/screens/scrn-skyrimscene.jpg - Part of it is an interior behaving as an exterior, with a new region type created so that there is constant blizzard. Part of a time-travel storyline.

Let's see, from left to right I'm guessing that's Almalexia, Indoril Nerevar, and Sotha Sil, with Dagoth Ur and Vivec in the back. I'm also guessing that Vivec is floating in mid-air as usual, and Dagoth is just that bleeping tall. :tongue:

I've seen tiny rats, tiny mudcrabs, and tiny beetles before, but not a tiny guar. That's just so cute!

I get the feeling that this is going to look like a giant leopard-print cliff racer by the time it's done, but right now I'm just loving that tail. It's a nice pop of color against the rest of the creature.

I get the feeling that this is going to look like a giant leopard-print cliff racer by the time it's done, but right now I'm just loving that tail. It's a nice pop of color against the rest of the creature.

Actually, the textures that aren't finished are ones you can't see in the screenshot... inside the mouth, the tip of the tail, and I want to rework the face. The tail is the underbelly and yeah, I wanted to add a little "hornet" color to the mix. The wings are done. I figured, if you have to stare at these guys while you hack at them, they might as well have more detail. I don't see cliff racers as any more annoying than any other creature... but with all the racer hate, I'm not exactly motivated to finish this one. I enjoy using my retextures in my own game, so it's not a waste. Maybe if more people like you are interested, I'll finish it up after Keening is done. I thought about making alternate versions for diseased and blighted racers, possibly with more sickly noises for those varieties. But, so far, when editing creatures, the animations/ sounds is all grayed-out for me and I haven't been able to figure out how to change the sounds a creature makes.

He'll have to be a house mouseguar.... he's only got 2 hit points. I placed my character outside that building to leave the music on during a thunderstorm while I took a nap IRL, and when I woke up, my character was surrounded by dead muroids (tiny harmless rats that populate the streets) and the mouseguar was dead.... just because they were too close to my character when she got hit repeatedly by lightning. SADCATFACE!!! 3:

Actually, it's a modder resource that I found ages ago. Sorry, don't know where from now.


Also, I see you've got an oblivion realm. I've got some WIP oblivion realms, and some resources that might be useful. I'll see about screenshots later.

I'm really digging that town you've put together there. It has a real old west feel to it, but it's still very Elder Scrolls, and I think that's fantastic. What's with the wall though? It looks like it's separating one section of the town from the other, is there a reason for that?

First thank you for your encouraging words.

yes there is a reason, like everything always :P

it is a closed quarter, to keep in the redguard during attacks and uprisings. Only a few others live there and only poor dogs. This said the reasonable redguards nobles get a decent house within the city core, but very close to the quarter.

Also this quarter is not like a place where you would go at night, even mentioned in SHotN lore.
