Show us what you are working on #29

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:28 pm

A WIP thread for the community

This is a thread intended for the community as a whole. A place to show and discuss with the community what you are working on without the obligation that a "WIP" thread generally implies, for those who are just not quite to the point where their project warrants a formal "WIP" thread, or for whatever reason you might have for not wishing to start a "WIP" thread.

As this is in the Morrowind modding forum please keep whatever you are showing here limited to Morrowind mods or projects that you intend to implement into your game.

So, lets see what you're up to

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1373138-show-us-what-you-are-working-on-28/.

Not really within the parameters of the thread, but I suppose this is as good a place to post this as any-- I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from the community and from modding. What this means is that I'm offering blanket permissions for anyone to use my Morrowind mods in any way they choose. Translate them, finish them, color them purple and throw MLP symbols all over them, whatever you want! I'm transferring full creative control to you guys, the community.

Cheers, all.

:(

Sometimes, I have to remind myself that some people actually have lives beyond the internet and video games.

Good luck with whatever you're off to do and hope to see you back sometime! As one last request, would you be willing to rush upload (no need for readmes or anything, and you could just use a dropbox or something) any of the texture packs you've mentioned you have done and have just been sitting on? I always love your work, and it would be sad for some of it to (possibly) vanish forever.

Ok pals here's an very early alpha, i need some feedback if i am heading into right direction, and witch bug annoys you most

https://www.dropbox.com/s/7sh1titqq3exdvy/rbb_alpha.7z
-it requires better bodies for now
-it replaces dunmer male body so go 'enableracemenu' in console
-test in on mods like slofs goth shop, alakazar's lamp, better clothes or anyother BB male clothing

As i told its early version so theres much, much of clipping, and oh yea theres no first person hands yet

I'll probably still be able to poke my head in every now and again, it's just kind of a crazy time for me right now (personal stuff).

As requested, here's the contents of my WIP folder, I think it has everything that I've shown recently, plus maybe a few surprises :) Much of it is incomplete, but if someone wants to take a stab at finishing it that'd be great.

@Bahamut-- Looks great, I had to play around with the colors a little bit but I haven't noticed any major problems with it yet. While I was waiting for the archive to upload I took this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/ReiEf.jpg. It's a whole new world :D

Finally, my Nexus account (spaceinvader91) is a better place to get ahold of me than here if you need to reach me for some reason.

Improvement? I'd say so.

Well if this stuff works nearly perfect with vanilla stuff and better clothes (only need to extend the forearm part like in better bodies), but if you check mods like slofs goth shop or alakazars lamp you will find much clipping and overlaping nearly everywhere, most noticable, knees when moving, shoulders and slight at forearms and arms in motion, so its really far from over, need to a make proper neck too

btw its all based based on roberts if somone dont know

I think the texture might need an update though. Will this also fix the problem the BB elbows have with MGE XE shadows??

Great!
The only thing is that the metal sign things (metal texture) is way too green (at less it seems to be when I look at the pictures).

Thanks guys!

papill6n, I know the problem with these terrible green things. The metal strip and hinge were one of my first textures when I started and they're not final. At the start of this retex I've been trying to find a style and I was an absolutely rookie.
