A WIP thread for the community.

This is a thread intended for the community as a whole. A place to show and discuss with the community what you are working on without the obligation that a "WIP" thread generally implies, for those who are just not quite to the point where their project warrants a formal "WIP" thread, or for whatever reason you might have for not wishing to start a "WIP" thread. :)

As this is in the Morrowind modding forum please keep whatever you are showing here limited to Morrowind mods or projects that you intend to implement into your game.

So, lets see what your up to.

Just another little nuisance to run around the daedric ruins.... :) Inspired by my old magic the gathering days. Head mesh courtesy of TheDaywalker.

A few screenshots from an early quest of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1106876-early-wipz-house-redoran-expanded/ mod - nothing too exciting, as I'm mainly working on dialogue and quest design :)

What direction did you take with yours?

I'm working (very, very slowly) on a companion mod where I can focus on one (maybe two) kids and really bring out their personalities. :) Think Julan...only a lot younger and I haven't decided on a race yet...might even make that changeable. It's still in the conceptual stage at this point. :)

Small update on the building I have been working on for to long.....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Concepts/Riv_WIP_4.jpg

Added some supports and railings, and fixed some annoying shadowing issue I couldn't figure out for the longest time. :D I will probably work quite a bit on this this weekend so I should have some hopefully more significant updates later.

The orphanage has nine boys and nine girls, three of each are teens. Other than Khajiits and Argonians, of which I have one each, for all other races I have one boy and one girl. Since I included a lot of variety there's hopefully one of them you will like. I did have to give the last kid in the girls picture a complete redesign though as I accidentally deleted her in one of my late-night work sessions.

Oh, and please vote on the poll I made about my other mod.

Wow, that is truly disturbing... maybe make the "popped" eye bigger to match sizes. I am really looking forward to this Corprus Mod. Is it going to be released independently?

Yep, it will be its own release (not related to MM). I've already made the eye a bit bigger since the pic was made (but it is still a bit shrivelled/dessicated from being outside of the socket :D ). I'll most likely include a playable race/equipable skins/wearble infections too (as I am sure that others would want to have that option if only for RPing or companion purposes). Wearable bandages are also a possibility with these (but I am focusing on the critters at the moment ;) ).

As Melchior said, the eye should be bigger. And despite what you saw in media, this is not by far how popped eye would look, it would look like that only if it would be heavily surgically cleaned (actually, even then the optical nerve STILL wouldn't look like that, but oh well, it's shown like that in every movie and so on).
In my opinion it should be simply an empty eye socket, without anything hanging out.

Aside from being a smart ass above, I must say that the eye texture and the other eye, and everything else looks bloody amazing :goodjob:

Oh, Chaka :) ...

No worries, I am aware what a popped eye would look like from first hand experience (So no education from the media here ;) ; I've even had to pop a few back in when I worked for a Vet after dogs either got hit by a car or got in a fight; they rarely ever dangle at all). This is what is called "working with the meshes that I have at at the ready" Plus, having it dangling has a grossness factor (as if it were not simply "popped out" but rather freshly pulled by the vicitm of the madness inflicted by Corprus).

Snip~

Movies and games do this sort of stuff for dramatic effect. It looks far more grotesque this way. :chaos:

EDIT: Wanted to add my thoughts about the texture. :whisper:

I am no expert about these sort of wounds by any stretch, just sort of basing this off of assumptions/what I think might sell it more. I think the skin around the wound should have some bruising and perhaps some dried blood splatter? Also it might be nice to have some flaps of skin appear to be dangling off the face revealing the back side. And last, I think the exposed muscle tissue could perhaps appear more wet/shiny...

Heh I know. I meant because I've seen quite few human eyes (my mother did a lot of pathology work and let's just say she let me in a few places I shouldn't have been at  ) so I know how some things look :P Looks good tho (then again, maybe it's just me, I've always found horrors funny so it's never too gross/creepy for me :D).

Oh and I agree on this, blood splatters and stuff would make it look really cool.

You plan to make it only ugly, or a combination of ugly and sixy for some really disturbing effect? :P (for females ofc)

Still playing around and working on http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1092474-the-temple-waterway/, hopefully I'll figure out how to get animated normal mapped water without freaking the game out before the end of the month year!

Continuing with where AoF left off, I've been working on adding bumpmaps to the other armor pieces, as you may know. Well, I finally got the gauntlets working and took a video, and this is it! :D
