Apel is as socially amiable as a boiled potato, that's fine. Zackg's argonia is mostly generated land at this early stage, fine too! And you know what, it's also fine that SamirA is an [censored]!
So hey, assclowns, let's all calm down!

Another argument swiftly resolved by dirnae, no need to thank me.

It does not look fine. It looks bad in fact. The rest of it looks fantastic but this part is bad, simply bad. Apel makes wonderful textures, but that step is simply bad.

As far as veneer vs laminate I was simply trying to find a nice way to say it looks bad, but thanks to you I'll just come out and say it.

I'm not looking to make an argument of this, but that was a rather harsh response. Obviously we have differing opinions, which is fine. I don't like it when someone changes their work based on a single opinion, so I added my own. I think it's pretty important to think about how the architecture could actually be made in the universe as opposed to our universe, though wood panels over stone steps do exist in our world. The architecture is certainly feasible in the universe, and there is a lot more to think about than just how it looks to make it believable.

Glad you like it Wolli, still got quite a bit to do, terrain is about twice the size of Solsthiem, and like you pointed out, alot more statics than vanilla, even without grass.

A small concept showing of what's gonna be diffrent using Morrowind Rebirth vs Vanilla.

Looks pretty cool trance. Will look more finished when its vertex painted though. Keep it up.

Just one question though, i take it it wont be conpatible with the ground texture fix's that have been made. Or have you used that as a base?

If you think a flat plane of wood over stone looks good and is believable then you are beyond help.

..it's a game... and some of the crap thats invented in mw? really? how is that less realistic than the misplacement of a log?

afaik, if the sea level (could) rose around seyda neen -realistically- the town would be pretty screwed.

I think you are missing the point, which is being consistent and believable within a fantasy world. That is, not our world. If the intended environment is something like Black Marsh, which is supposed to be rather harsh, functionality would probably be of more concern than looks. Even so, both would probably find their way in. Maybe the wood provides traction on what would otherwise be slippery stone in a wet environment. Do you understand?

I might not put wood over stone like that if I were to build a house, but that doesn't mean that the idea is bad.

If you think it is aesthetically displeasing, that is your opinion. It is not a fact. I am allowed to have a different opinion without your insults. Insults that I've done absolutely nothing to deserve.

Now, I'm done with this argument. It feels like it has become something specifically against me, and I don't know what else can be constructively said about it. If you want to continue this, it can be done in private.

Hm.. I like the design, although the texture (or it's just the mesh?) could use an improvement. Less shiny, more worn / marks of time :P

At first I thought it was a massive disk in the glacier :P

Looks really cool!! Definitely a coin I'd have no problem hoarding rather than trading with. I also agree with trancemaster on the texture, other than that it's real impressive :).

Me likes teh shineh.

Starting a texture replacer for the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil, since it's largely gone untouched since Morrowind's release. It's a bit of a radical departure from the source material, but I like it :P
