Why do you need them as resource?

So I can start my underground forest region using them, silly :P (with permission of course :D)

Question: if you equip a piece of armor, does that negate the AR bonus from the Unarmored skill?

Anyway, I'm making some new classes, might tweak the old ones, too. It's hard to show what I'm doing, since I'm doing it in a spreadsheet. But here are the descriptions, I've drawn from text from OB and daggerfall class descriptions, in-game MW dialog, stuff I made on my own, and stuff a paraphrased from other websites, like the Hellgate wiki.

Evoker: Evokers are spellcasters built to move fast, dodge attacks, and deal heavy magical damage. They focus their power to cast elemental spells and send enemies running with magically induced fear. Evokers have to be nimble and daring to survive, and often use enchanted items to enhance their abilities.

Guardian: Guardians use both physical and magical armor to withstand attacks. They use blunt weapons to smash their foes and spells to manipulate the battlefield. Guardians tend to be articulate and well-liked, and are often hired as escorts and guards.

Shadow Dancer: Spell and shadow are their friends. By darkness they move with haste, casting magic to benefit their circumstances.

Tomb Raider: With an incurable curiosity and penchant for trouble, Tomb Raiders make a living satisfying their need to uncover and “protect” lost relics and hidden artifacts. They rely on their agility to overcome obstacles, and ranged weapons to take down foes from afar.

Thaumaturge: Thaumaturgy refers to the School of Thaumaturgy, a synthesis of several schools of magicka. A Thaumaturgical spell does not change the appearance or structure of a force or object, but can manipulate laws and even influence a person's behavior temporarily.

Warpriest: Warpriests are fighters of poison and illness. The ancient art of restoration is their ally, and the deadly art of destruction is their weapon. Able to resolve most conflicts with either spell or mace, Warpriests are a deadly mix of scholar and soldier.

Nomad: Nomads are self-sufficient wanderers, skilled at hunting, fighting, and stalking. Seldom settling in one place for long, the Nomad is on a endless journey to an unknown destination.

Artisan: Artisans refine and preserve the magical properties hidden in natural and magical ingredients. They craft powerful potions and enchanted items to augment their spellcasting abilities.

Warlock: Warlocks bind themselves by oath and deed to the service of a Daedra lord, and in return receive gifts of knowledge and power.

Skirmisher: Swift on foot, and clever with spells, Skirmishers use distance as their ally. Slower adversaries are fodder for their arrows, and faster foes are kept at bay with spear and blade.

Hunter: Hunters range across the wilderness, hunting for meat and hides. They are adept at silently tracking and taking down prey – both human and beast.

Smuggler: A key component of the black market, Smugglers stealthily move people and contraband past guards and checkpoints. Bribery, theft, risk-taking, and the occasional betrayal are all part of the job.

Burglar: Burglars are well versed in the arts of picking locks. They can sneak undetected into even the most secure of noble houses and escape detection.

Pursuer: Pursuers are dextrous fighters, well-versed in using sword, shield, and spell to disable their opponents. They are often hired as bounty hunters, soldiers-for-hire, and assassins.

Mercenary: Mercenaries are privately hired soldiers, but that is all that they have in common. Their varied skillset makes them well-suited for almost any kind of job involving combat.

Templar: Templars wield the power of brute strength and mystical knowledge. Cheating death after every fight, they rely on their keen knowledge of restoration to fight yet again.

Paladin: Paladins use magic to enhance their resiliency during a fight. Following a personal code of honor, they often devote themselves to a noble or altruistic cause

I admit, I'm stretching it a little with the Tomb Raider class, but I couldn't help myself. :hehe:

For the slot that the armor covers, yes. More like it replaces it. It will only drop if the AR of the armor provides less protection than the unarmored skill would provide. Not having a shield counts as a slot without armor also, so unarmored will take precedence there.

Some bigger screens of my Clockwork City mod to show off my progress. The original textures always reminded me of exposed circuitry, so I've tried to work that theme back into the new look a little bit, as well as darkening everything up, changing the colors, etc.

Overhauled my previous ideas for classes. Um. Well, anyway, here are the ones I think I'm going for:
Cabalist: Cabalists are spellcasters built to move fast, dodge attacks, and deal heavy magical damage. They focus their power to cast elemental spells and send enemies running with magically induced fear and summoned creatures. Cabalists have to be nimble and daring to survive, and often use enchanted items to enhance their abilities.
Cleric: The ancient art of restoration is their ally, and the deadly art of destruction is their weapon. Able to resolve most conflicts with either spell or mace, Clerics are a deadly mix of scholar and soldier.
Cultist: Cultists revel in the apparent chaos of the natural world around them. They favor using short daggers when melee fighting, and often use throwing weapons for short-ranged attacks. When cornered, they use illusion and stealth to evade their pursuers. Cultists harvest natural and magical ingredients to brew into potent potions.
Shadowfoot: Burglars and muggers of the most notorious sort, these ne'er-do-wells use speed and stealth to surprise their enemies. Nimble and quiet, they move in darkness to strike at the unsuspecting.
Charlatan: Charlatans profit in life by bartering in the market, or by persuading the weak-minded. They are swift in shadow, and crafty in bartering. Charlatans use their magic abilities as an aid to subterfuge.
Slayer: Slayers are much feared and respected, for they use the night for concealment, and their cunning to land deadly blows. Nimble and quiet, they move in darkness to strike at the unsuspecting; even secure locks cannot stay the Slayer's blade.
Guardian: Guardians use both physical and magical armor to withstand attacks. They use mace and shield to smash their foes and spells to manipulate the battlefield. They are adept in the use of blunt weapons and are often heavily armored.
Hoplite: Charging into battle heavily armed and armored with spear and shield, Hoplites make excellent fighters, well-suited to survival under the worst conditions. In close quarters they rely on their agility and short sword to make quick work of their foes.
Berserker: Similar to barbarians, these huge, angry warriors wielding large axes and swords work themselves into a frenzy before battle through the use of potions. Berserkers wear little armour, partly as a sign of their bravery and partly because it would interfere with the free swinging of their weapon.
Jongleur: Intelligent and personable, these traveling minstrels prefer to accomplish tasks with their words first, and sword second. Jongleurs use ranged weapons and spells to keep their foes at a distance. They often serve as entertainers, negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies.

I took some screenshots of version one and version 2. M = major skill, i = minor skill.

http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr50/Alaisiagae/Mod%20Screenshot%20MW/Misc/classes_v2.jpg

Let me know if I should keep any of Version 1's classes - as in, if you'd be interested in playing them.

Changes Assassin minor skill longblade to unarmored. I mean, what kind of assassin uses a longsword to kill someone? I dunno, it just didn't seem to fit.

EDIT: @trancemaster: reminds me a bit of God of War. It's the kind of music I'd expect to loop in the background all the time... I dunno, maybe I'm just weird. :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqJ4YnR8sTI is one of my favorites.

Plenty of kinds. Just the ones that use longswords, of course. Interesting work on those classes. Also, nice work all of you.

http://i.imgur.com/7HG31.jpg This one includes some mesh fixes done in NifSkope. You may not be able to tell the difference, but I sure can! :P

By the by, neither of the Fabricants are finished as of yet; I haven't touched the robotic parts at all. And I don't think I'm going to redo the Imperfect, as I hate basically everything about its look and don't have any desire to try to fix it. :obliviongate: Other than that though, this is getting pretty close to a release! :D

It's been so many years since I've been back to the Clockwork City, let alone Mournhold(I hardly play MW, I just mod it). This makes me want to play through that questline again just because you've made it look so pretty :o Definitely changed my "mind's eye" when I think of the hallways of the Clockwork City, no longer does a blah-yelloworangebrownugliness come into thought. VERY nice work :)
