Very nice. Do we get to buy slaves and earn money? That would be awesome.

Looks fantastic. I always thought ingrediant plants looked a bit rubbish without any replacers.

If someone will do the scripting and dialog for me. (Not my strong point :P)

But that is a feature I really really wanna incorporate.

Do you guys like the vertex painting and the plants in http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm34/ChaoticEnforcer/RethanPlantation5.jpg screenshot. I'm trying to achieve a more natural look but it's very difficult.

Something I been working on whenever I get the chance:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Concepts/Riv_WIP_2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v217/AnOldFriend/Concepts/Riv_WIP_3.jpg

This building is probably about half done. Still need to do a bit of work on the lower half, mainly supports and that sort of junk.

:shocking: Can't wait to see what you have in mind for these!

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_FUNWITHCORPRUS01.jpg
Had some time to work on my BB/unique Corprus Stalkers, so I finished up
a few faces. This one is, perhaps, the "worst case" as the others display varying
degrees of the affliction.

More later

Eww, these are great!

You mean the vertex shading around the paths? It's nice but a bit too dark. If it was a bit more subtle it would be excellent. Some vertex shading around those plants would be nice too, and maybe some very slight shading to break up the grass on the right. Just some suggestions, I can't exterior mod to save my life.

But I could do a bit of dialogue and scripting if you want. I'm not great by I enjoy it, so I could make some simple buyable slaves and income.

Sure, I'll drop you a PM when I'm at that stage. Gotta still build interiors and etc. But I would be very thankful. :)

Thanks for the suggestions as well, yeah it definitely is too dark

What do you guys think I should use to clutter up the area around the ranched netch?

"nice & neat" isn't the way to go if you want natural looking. The crop plants are just too perfect, they're just copies of each other. Maybe you should resize them all, just random little bits and numbers. Even take a couple out, have an empty space or two. Maybe the plant died and got removed. As far as clutter, there's not much in vanilla MW for outdoor kinds of tools, no rakes and shovels. Maybe a couple buckets, ropes & rope coils, a partial boulder or two, couple bottles or junky trash.... Not much comes to mind for plantation clutter, sorry.

That's a good point. Thanks, I've rotated, re-sized, moved them a little bit.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm34/ChaoticEnforcer/RethanPlantation6.jpg it is, with lighter shading, this picture was before I messed with the plants however. I also need to do a little bit of shading in the actual field. I also added a little sitting area behind the shacks. You can only see the overhang in this angle.

Any suggestions?

Still a bit too neat and a tad too dark. I didn't mention it before but maybe the shading should be a little bit wobly and not so straight. How about some in game shots though?

Tried wobbly, but it turned out bad. So I went back to straight. In game:

Those plants look much better, although a few missing would be nice. Have you rotated them as well? It's looks good in game, and I like the look of the dock and plumbing bit. I've never downloaded a house mod before but this one looks fun to roleplay.

I was thinking about the removing randomly thing, but I like the way it looks intact, but I might take down the concentration of them a bit.

I justify the lack of dead plants to my Dwemer plumbing system, thats what the pipe is for. :P

Screen 5 bugs me because of how plain it is.

As you can probably see, vertex shading appears much darker in the CS than in-game. Your in-game shots don't show enough shading (IMO). You are also suffering from SLS (straight line syndrome). Everything is too perfect and neat. The paths should have a slight to moderate "wobble". Straight lines are fine in big cities, but they look out of place in the more rural areas. The edges of the field are my biggest concern. Unless you're going to put a low wall around it (to hold everything in place), the edges should be more varied and not so "drawn with a ruler" straight.

The design looks great, you just need to get the little details right and this will be awesome. :) I found it quite a learning process when I showcased for TR, but I finally got it well enough to get promoted. :) IMHO, exteriors are the hardest to learn how to do right, but if you get it down right your mods will be ten times better. :)

True, every place looks better with slaves. :chaos:

If anybody has any more ideas for clutter I'd appreciate it. I think I'll probably start a WIP later today or tommorow.

The side plants in shot 4 look slightly off. Maybe use some standard plants that are native to the area, something somewhat simplified. I also forgot to mention to maybe put a couple miners picks lying around, maybe a broom or 2, a bucket, and simple small weapons like a dagger would make sense, maybe it was used for pruning (shears would also work.) Just some ideas.
