Is that the elven architecture of Rivendell?! Epic..

It is based on it, though I think I made enough significant changes that I don't get sued. :whistling:

Do you know what it's going to be used for, or are you just making it?

I have plans for it though I am not going to say at the moment.

That looks like it may do nasty things to a computer though, would it?

It might, it is sitting around 150 thousand tris at the moment I think. I am not to concerned with poly count though, I am more concerned with making it look nice. :)

I'm curious if it is just a side-hobby or if you have plans for it?

@Chaka ZG: You know there may be some sort of subliminal Final Fantasy influence in my work. I played X and XII a lot and have tried emulating a few of the creatures in Morrowind before. Though maybe not exactly or very well :) but the resemblance to the Baknamy is uncanny... those guys always fascinated me...hmmmmm...

Yup I know (Iron Giant and Urstrix come to mind :whistling: )

This building is probably about half done. Still need to do a bit of work on the lower half, mainly supports and that sort of junk.
Looks great, AOF.

http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/6152/mgescreenshot1.png Oh dear punk in morrowind doesn't do wonders for lore does it. tattoed, the forehead is a little higher than your friend's because of the hair model. Find something with a lower hairline and you should be good.

Cool, we should talk about it...we only have to be careful with the polycount of heads and bodyparts of NPC cause our Capitals are giant (6-10 cells, 60 - 100 Houses, loads of clutter in the streets and, and, and)...If NPC add much more faces it could influence the performance in a bad way (decreasing FPS)...Chainy and me had the idea to script not quest relevant NPC's in the streets to aviod that there are to many on the road at the same time, but we havn't worked out the idea atm. Face textures will be the main part...male and female, different ages of people, scars, one eyed veterans of times of open hostility against dunmer and other stuff, Also we have the include the race of the "Reachmen" which are basically bretons with pagan influence.

Looking forward to some cooperations :icecream:

Come to think of it, I can lower the poly count if it isn't supposed to resemble anybody in particular, for those two heads I had to use a high poly mesh to make sure it looks like the person it's modelled on.

It is based on it, though I think I made enough significant changes that I don't get sued. :whistling:

You should probably take "riv" out of the screenshot names then

@AOF: Nice crib, can't wait to see this UV mapped and textured!!! :P

Here's some new stuff I'm testing. As you know MW doesn't have physics in the game engine, but you can record physics in a 3D application like BLENDER!!! and bake the animation, so that it can be played in MW. Nothing revolutionary, but you can make some nice things with it, simulated rockslides, crushing buildings or a cut off head rolling down the stairs of Vivec's palace!!! ;)

Needs still some tweaks...

Decided to take a break from remaking 'Iron' weapons and test out a design I came up with a while ago for glass weapons. I have done the Claymore, although it could probably do with entirely new textures I've just used stock Bethesda textures at the moment for testing purposes:

I like the new design, but I also like the jutting-out shards of glass from the original. Maybe you could put the smaller ones back in?

The new claymore design is great, though I don't like how it looks atm. I think you're right, the model could use some new textures to do it's curvy design justice.
The iron weapon replacer looks superb. Are you going to be releasing these in installments? Or are you going to redo all the weapon models and then release them in one massive replacer pack?

I understand if you would prefer to use your own textures, but I really prefer vanilla textures for a mod like this. It'd look strange if most of the weapons used Darknut's textures (or connary's once his compendium is released) except for the hilt of one of the claymores.

awesome. i would suggest making it the head bouyant armigers weapon. and give it a unique enchantment. like constant resist blight or something of the like.

I haven't made any releasable mods in awhile. But, I'm back to working on an idea I started on. Making NPCs change outfits. I'm testing my script out on Eldafire first, but its working out well.

I am planning something at the moment, and have a lot written down. However, I have a question...

What would be a good, non-conflicting (or minimally-conflicting), area to place a graveyard / crypt?
There's more to it than that :) I just don't want to give anything away because, well, I might not release it. Or if I do, I'd like it to be a surprise!

I assume the flag is suppose to be made of metal? Anyway, the texture seems rather washed out, perhaps could use some color and lighting corrections. The alpha doesn't come across as believable especially for metal. And Last the symbol and words that I will assume are painted on, don't look believable. I think you need to add some scratches and areas where the paint is chipped away.

You asked for critique of the texture before you ninja edited your post so I thought I might let you know what i thought. :whisper:

:goodjob: Reminds me of the Elven weaponry from Oblivion.

Thanks I was aiming for a more elven feel

I like the new design, but I also like the jutting-out shards of glass from the original. Maybe you could put the smaller ones back in?

I was tempted to add some before I took the screenshots so I may add a couple of shards back for the final version, this was a test mainly to see if I could model my design.

Any plans on adding a transparency to these? Other than that, the sword looks much better :goodjob:

Thanks :) I will most likely add transparancy to the glass weapons.

Thanks :) , Like I said the textures were just for testing purposes.
Once I've finshed the Iron weapons I will release a basic pluginless replacer for that set, then after I will release a version with the optional extras including the alternate models and the unique item models. Since I already started doing it that way by releasing http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8253 I thought it would be best to continue the trend, that way if I disappear for a while (which I tend to do) people can still enjoy the work I've released so far :D.

I understand if you would prefer to use your own textures, but I really prefer vanilla textures for a mod like this. It'd look strange if most of the weapons used Darknut's textures (or connary's once his compendium is released) except for the hilt of one of the claymores.

Really I was just seeing if I could make the design, as I've never tried anything more organic, really the design was not meant to be part of my mesh improvement mods. If there is interest I will try and imporve on the texturing with vanilla textures and include it as an alternate when I get around to doing Glass. :)

awesome. i would suggest making it the head bouyant armigers weapon. and give it a unique enchantment. like constant resist blight or something of the like.

Thanks, though I've no plans for making a uniquely enchanted item out of this at this time.

Thanks for the feedback :)

The new sword is great, Psy; really elegant while maintaining a formidable heft and balance :) .

Had some time to work on my BB/unique Corprus Stalkers, so I finished up
a few faces. This one is, perhaps, the "worst case" as the others display varying
degrees of the affliction.

More later
