from AOF, the guy who started all this

A Work in Progress Thread for the Community

This is a thread intended for the community as a whole. A place to show and discuss with the community what you are working on without the obligation that a "WIP" thread generally implies, for those who are just not quite to the point where there project warrants a formal "WIP" thread, or for whatever reason you might have for not wishing to start a "WIP" thread. :)

As this is in the Morrowind modding forum please keep whatever you are showing here limited to Morrowind mods or projects that you intend to implement into your game.

So lets see what your up to. :)

Hehe - was watching the thread count and wondering if I should pip you at the post - was sure the only thing you were working on was just keeping this thread going :)

I've spent the weekend working on my pluginless face replacer - no pics to show as I am just sorting out testures and repathing all the nifs so far - am pretty unhappy with WIN 7 as it keeps dropping the textures\ from the path name in nifskope so instead of having textures\illy\FF2\HE I just get illy\FF2\HE - I never had that problem with XP - anyway I'm going to hassle Mandamus to make me some male hair at long last - you hear that Mandamus? :)

:whistling:

I've been a bit busier than I expected these last few weeks and have something for my uni to finish for Monday, but after that I should be free to do some modding. :) I have to fix the pixie hair first so you can get rid of the ears.

You people are fortunate enough that I have been building http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj197/dagoth_jeff/Hvitkald.jpg?t=1282402805 for your maxed-out enjoyments. Try to control yourselves, please. I'd prefer to remain low key, and humble. Criticisms are not welcome, unless they come from me. Thank you, that is all. Dismissed.

I think i am correct in saying that the correct UV rocks mod is for Morrowind only and so far nothing has been done to correct the rocks in Bloodmoon ?

Several of the rocks in Bloodmoon are symmetrical because Bethesda modelled 1 half of a rock then mirrored it and joined the two halves together, unfortunately no attempt was made to adjust the UV maps to blend the textures together so the http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i109/Slartibartfast_2006/ScreenShot011-1.jpg?t=1282402622 around the edges is quite severe on the Vanilla models.

http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i109/Slartibartfast_2006/ScreenShot012.jpg?t=1282402740 are fine as is, I have made an http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i109/Slartibartfast_2006/ScreenShot015.jpg?t=1282402824 the UV mapping on the Vanilla models which gets rid of most of the distortion but the weird mirroring is down to the way the models were made and subsequently uv mapped. I am not planning on 'perfecting' the uv mapping at this stage (too much work and too bogged down with other projects) but merely 'improved' versions like in the 3rd screenshot will most probably be included in my update for the Bloodmoon Landscape Overhaul version 1.1 WIP.

Bwahaha! Yeah, right. You must be mistaken.
You see, mine doesn't resemble plastic. It's better than all the other castles out there, because it looks real.
Mine takes the cake.
And breaks the mold.

I literally LOL'd when I saw that. And I don't usually LOL...which is why I rarely type LOL. LOL is a lie. In fact, I'm on a crusade to replace it with CSTM (Chuckled Silently To Myself.) But that was good dagoth_jeff!

I've been waiting for this one. Looks really exciting. Have you considered the earlier siltstrider concepts, with all that junk and strapping on top? (To allow for more people at the same time).... great job, looks awesome.

You can't simply download it...you have to be chosen by Lord Dagoth Jeff to enter the walls of this mystic keep :hubbahubba:

I guess there isn't any point making house mods anymore since it appears that niche has been completely filled by an epic castle, but http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm34/ChaoticEnforcer/Nerethi%20Manor/HallofHonor.jpg is what I'm working on for the second version of Nerethi Manor. It's called the Hall of Honor, but that's just fancy Redoran speak for "Show off my cool weapons and armor."

No, I really haven't. I'm not much of a modeler, so I'm sticking with the vanilla style as much as possible. I do have a modified mesh that has an animated driver welded in, but that so far is the extent of the customization of the look.

Starfire is a modder, perhaps he is Telvannis and thats why he's working on it!

:whistling:

But Seriously, Starfire created a mod similar to MCA, with a few differences, such as teleporting mages, only using Vanilla resources so the npc's added by her mod don't look out of place, as well as being a bit more fps friendly with somewhat lighter scripting. The mod he's working on, is taking her scripts and leveled lists and adding them to the Tamriel Maps.

You could seam that straight down the middle and then mirror it. On a more relevant note; how could you betray blender for the dark side, bahamut?!?
