Oh, I missed that original post. Very cool! I cannot wait.

I have been without the interwebz for about two weeks now
(updating the connectivity 'round here made for a real bugbear
in trying to even get online, but all is well now). I said that I
would have these done before Turkey Day (and actually they
were finished a week ago, and I have been itchin' to get them
ready to share with all you wonderful people). I should have
them uploaded by tomorrow, but for now, here are a few
screens of the BB Winged Twilights...

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_TWLGHT_SCREEN02.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_TWLGHT_SCREEN03.jpg
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_TWLGHT_SCREEN01.jpg

While the mod itself is initially pluginless, there is a plugin
included that will give unique models to the other two ID'd
Twilights (with Molag Grunda wearing armour and the Summoned
Twilight having a starfield glowmap applied [makes her "twinkle"
and slightly more blue in its tonality]).

So expect a release tomorrow (or maybe sooner)

Latest iteration of http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr50/Alaisiagae/Mod%20Screenshot%20MW/Misc/clannfear_full_v2.jpg. I've done about 5 or 6 versions of this, and I think this one is a keeper.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, custom texture for the neckcloth. I just recolored the brown scarf texture, nothing fancy.

I like the sound of how you plan on implementing the BB Twilights. And awesome work on their skin! Beautiful. Sorry about the problems you've been having with the internet; glad you were able to get it worked out enough to update us on your progress :)

making a creature from scratch is complex, because, you have to know
- hot to model
- how to animate
- how to make textures!

I am not a good artist, but I'll try.

After all, someone painted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk2sPl_Z7ZU, why shouldn't I be able to paint a troll using Gimp?

Nice work mate, you're an allround artist, which is pretty cool and getting better is just a question of time and practice. In case you feel not confident enough yet with making textures freehand, you can bake some AO maps (ambient occlusion) and use those for the base shading to paint over. Just make sure you have a clean unwrap and make as much use of the given texture space as you can. ;)

This is awesome! The only suggestion I have is maybe some little spikes on the shoulders/knees, to add a bit more detail.

I am trying to remake the texture of the edges of the bridges of rope ('Tx_bridgeropes').
http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9448/mgescreenshot2.jpg

But I encounter a problem: Photoshop is obstinated has to put a progressive contour on the edges of my texture, and thus ingame I have a halation around the edges of my texture.

EDIT: I wish I could use the actual spike shape on the Clannfear skull, but I had to make do with the Armun An pauldron spikes. Pita to position. :dead:

I prefer the original version - those spikes don't make me think about the clannfear (perhaps if they were the daedra's horns/claws...)

The only thing I don't like about the armor is the helm - it looks like it would limit the char's view... Perhaps tilting the head a bit to the back would help? And the brown cloth doesn't match the rest of the armor and looks out of place.

I like the spike version, even if they don't quite match the Clannfear head horns.
You can always release both versions :)

Helmets are hard. This one is kinda tricky because the way the helmet looks in Nifskope (position, orientation) isn't how it appears on the character. I've tried other meshes, and nothing works out very well, but I'll keep fiddling around.

As for the cloth - I made the color match the orange spots on the clannfear back texture. I wanted something that looked like something someone would wear, rather than turning the player into a scaled clannfear wannabe. Hence the leather textures for the greaves underneath the clannfear hide.

If someone is able to lop off (isolated mesh) just one of the clannfear horn-spikes on its head, then I can take care of sizing, cloning, and positioning them on the armor.

And Karpik, clannfear do have spikes on their heads. I used the same textures for my spikes, too. They also have claws, but those use a different textures. I don't know why Bethesda made the feet claws use a green texture, though, that's just weird. I agree, the spike shape doesn't match. Think of it more of a proof of concept.

EDIT: I have an idea for the helmet, but I need a volunteer to change the UV map on the dreugh helm for me. PM me if you're interested.

I think the armor looks fairly good except the helmet is kind of overkill. Personally, I think the clanfear's head would be better as the shield.
