Not sure about the ring on the left, it's not matching up very well with your tower. Great concept, though.

After quite a long modding hiatus (RL related) i finally managed to get back to texturing, starting with a tiny little retex. :twirl:
The look of the velothi doors and door locks bothered quite a long time and i couldnt find a replacer to fit my taste. So here's my try on that topic.

http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8361/door1.jpg (NIFSkope render)
http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/8629/doordetail.jpg (NIFSkope render)
http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/5276/mgescreenshot297.jpg

It's a style mix of connarys veloth's sons (i use a modified version of it), the vanilla textures and some pieces i made from scratch. What d'you think.

Hm, you may have a point there; I'll look into that later today. Thanks!

I'm quite content with the door texture featured in An Old Friend's Velothi retexture myself, but I still think this looks great. I was bothered by the lack of what I considered suitable Velothi door textures for a long time before I found AOF's, so it's nice to see that I'll now have more than one option.

All the docks need now are a ton of crates and other containers, kind of like the dock of TR's Firewatch. Nicely done!

So what's stopping you? About 99% of their stuff is treated as a modder's resource ;P

You'll need to unpack the TR_Data.bsa - for example with http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=376

They're in the map 2 download, in .bsa form. You'll need to extract them from the .bsa. :D

Here are our two cranes and the one custom texture they use. Place the texture in the \Textures\ folder, and the crane anywhere you like. Credit TR in your readme, and you're good to go!

As I mentioned, I have been smoothing some meshes:

http://i55.tinypic.com/2zr0ox3.jpg. Oddly, this seems to only appear three times, the hut of Bevene Releth (the Ald'ruhn clothier), and twice in Kogoruhn. Makes you wonder about Bevene Releth eh?

http://i53.tinypic.com/2ltripw.jpg. Once of a few I smoothed a bit, for what I think is a reasonably noticeable improvement.

Glorious! All you need now is a bunch of dock workers, and you should be all set.

I am hacking on Wrye Mash at the moment. Just backported the Add Marker feature from Wrye Bash.

Don't want to get a reputation of a major slacker :P so a crappy pic of town I started working on recently, and is progressing reeeally slowly. It's gonna be some time before I get to detailing at least one street to shoot it and show it off here :P

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj238/Chakich/Morrowind/MGEScreenshot1.jpg
Ships are also wip, or to say more or less references that helped me build a dock layout. I plan to use several different ships instead of 10 stock ones :P

Also as an idea, to navigate the town streets easier, was to have a wood panels with names on corner of each street so that each street has a name, but not sure will I stick with the idea since I can't texture a jack s***.

Looks great! You've really mastered that tileset Chaka :goodjob: Much better than any luck I've had with it. I know this isn't what you are looking for, but for some reason, from that view, it looks like an old western town to me, lol. Just the sloped rooftops and all.

I like the idea of streetsigns, especially if it's going to be a large city. Do you have Photoshop? It'd probably be easier to do it in there. I'm no PS expert (don't even own it :P) but I have a feeling the drop shadow or something might work if applied to text.
