Show us what your working on

A WIP thread for the community.

This is a thread intended for the community as a whole. A place to show and discuss with the community what you are working on without the obligation that a "WIP" thread generally implies, for those who are just not quite to the point where their project warrants a formal "WIP" thread, or for whatever reason you might have for not wishing to start a "WIP" thread.

As this is in the Morrowind modding forum please keep whatever you are showing here limited to Morrowind mods or projects that you intend to implement into your game.

So, lets see what your up to.

Sila construct - A Sila golem whose magical bindings have begun to come apart causing it to lose its origonal shape and revert back to something that resembles its basic elements.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlJjkrdpwc4

The spirits of the dead still walk the halls. Some are peaceful, hiding themselves and ignoring the world around them - wandering, lost; seeking only rest. Others...are not so peaceful.

The Sila construct is a slightly tweaked version of Westlys rock creature, while the Falmer spirit is Lady E's air elemental with a new texure - just incase anyone wanted to know :)

I've undertaken a new project, retexturing the armors found in Morrowind (and probably the expansions as well). They use the vanilla texture as a base, with detail worked in from higher-res source images, so the result is (hopefully) a more detailed, realistic looking version of the originals. http://i.imgur.com/KZbBo.jpg with Darknut's textures on the other pieces for comparison, please feel free to make comments, criticisms, etc.

Meanwhile, my http://i.imgur.com/CYBKQ.jpg mod is getting nearer to release. Haven't heard a lot of critiques on this one, I'm curious what people think.

The armour looks excellent - it was something that really needed doing. I enjoy Darknut's textures, but I always thought someone could go even further. The Ashlander retextures looks good, though the tents are perhaps a little too clean looking for being that light.

Great set of armor, i'd suggest applying the texture evenly throughout though...Unless you've got it mapped like that.

@apel like he said its a hi res texture over darknuts bonemold textures. Hes probably either using opacity, with masked out pieces or a layer option like screening or overlaying.

In terms of the ashlander yurt texture. I like it a lot...however it seems like it only belongs in the grazelands. Doing this would also set apart the style of camps. Perhaps a mod could be made later which you duplicate the base mesh + new textures and reapplying them to the grazeland camps?

This games been out for 9 years though, perhaps its already done...i'm not sure.

It's actually a high-res texture applied over the original game's textures (upscaled, obviously). Sorry about making that confusing, I only mentioned Darknut's textures because that's the gold standard for armor retextures right now. So everything on the cuirass is mine, but the pauldrons, shield, etc. (which I haven't retextured yet) in that screenshot are Darknut's.

It's actually a little more involved than that, though, as, for example, the leather parts of the cuirass use an entirely different texture than the bonemold part, for obvious reasons.

I like that new armor texture. I would LOVE to see what you can do with the Imperial Armors' :D

Regarding that Ashlander Tents I agree with tronvillain. Really neat retexture, although a bit too clean! Otherwise great job.

Great work on that papill6n. I wish to install it in my game.

I think if you will try to make same shape as vanilla ones, it would look better.
Your weathered wood is a bit too dark, so its break shape out of space. If you will accent those texture, i think complete image will absolutely looking awesome.
I see some UVMap problems here:

Apel => I agree for the wood's texture, but I like Morrowind with a slighty dark atmosphere
For the UVMap problem I don't kno how correct it.
The loom's model have the also UVMap's problem >.<
