Screenshot Guidelines ( MUST READ BEFORE POSTING! ):

(Thanks to bashur and Matthew Kaine(?) for the original versions of this set of guidelines over in the Oblivion Mods section  )

  • No criticism should be directed at a person - only constructive criticism at the posters work
    • How you should not post criticism: "That screenshot is really lame! The poster needs to learn how to screenshot!"
    • How you should post criticism: "I'm not really a fan of that screenshot; In my opinion it could use a little more flair. Maybe try to have the angle at a diagonal slant with the sun behind them, that will give them a nice silhouette."
  • If you find a post offensive, REPORT IT !
    • Moderators know to to quickly deal with any situation of this nature, and will remove any offensive posts.
    • Arguing, instigating, or making demands regarding the post invariably ends up worsening the situation.
    • Not following the above rules could result in all involved parties getting a warning, even those defending themselves.
  • Commenting on a posters style of play in screenshots:
    • Members have a wide variety of playing styles and of capturing screenshots.
    • No subjective (or moral, ethnic, political, religious, cultural, social, sixual, etc.) preferences should be dictated to others as right or wrong in this thread.
    • All members are encouraged to post their screenshots regardless of their style of play, as long as they stay within the rules of this forum and thread.

Messages from the Moderators regarding this thread
"This is not the place to troll, flame, or spam others. You all are here to share ideas, converse, and have a good time.
We don't want anyone to spoil the party, so if someone happens to come along with those intentions
please use the report button and ignore that person's post (Do not reply to them or acknowledge them).
We will then take the appropriate action to cull the situation and remove the problem."

"If you don't care for a particular screenshot, you do not need to comment on it. If you have constructive feedback, that is fine. And people receiving polite feedback, don't get your back up.

But just because you don't like some of the looks, or feel they show too much skin, or whatever, as long as they do not break our forum rules, you'll have to restrain yourself. Sorry- no one cares if you don't like the skimpy shots. Sure, some of them may be over the top or whatever, or simply not to one's taste, but again- if they do not break our screenshot rules, then they are fine.

Post screenshots that are pretty, that are fun, or funny or scenic. Be kind to each other. Or don't bother with the thread." - Leydenne

That's what I miss from MW--the head/eye tracking--that our characters in Skyrim stand there like immobile mannequins really annoys me. I like that Chimera is looking up it gives her some believability not seen in Skyrim. She's a very attractive character!

Good to see you got Morrowind up and running!

That's what I miss from MW--the head/eye tracking--that our characters in Skyrim stand there like immobile mannequins really annoys me. I like that Chimera is looking up it gives her some believability not seen in Skyrim. She's a very attractive character!

I seriously hope that gets fixed in a mod or a patch.

I don't want to post in a ss thread without leaving something (that would be rude of me)so here's some old ones.

this is my first morrowind playthrough on a half-decent computer. Must say, with mge and vurts trees and grass, it is like playing a different game. I've tried to find a nice balance between showing a nice distance and keeping some fog, keeping in line with the original vibe of the game.

Are you using ENB? If so, can you show me the palette you're using? :)

nope, just mge xe doing its magic! Using the 'range vertex' fog setting in mge xe seems to affect the colour pallete quite a lot, it could be that that you are noticing.
I also have all ambient night settings in the ini set quite low, which I think might be something to do with seeing particularly colourful dawn/dusk transitions.

First time playing Morrowind since I got my fancy new computer with all the fancy graphic mods installed. Looks nice!

Still can't find a texture pack I like. Everything seems to change the vanilla textures too much and it's too colorful.

http://i.imgur.com/nOxUs.jpg I was just testing things with.

http://i.imgur.com/B4hGz.jpg Can't post a full picture for certain reasons. ;)

Cool, definitely going to check out MGE XE.

edit: Oh wow. I had no idea what I was missing. This fog coloring so beautiful!

How do you take these frontal 3rd person screenshots of your characters in Morrowind? The only 3rd person view I get is from behind the character.

Hold down the view switch button (TAB default on PC) and rotate.

Did you take a look at the Visual Packs? That is what I use. I'm not 100% sure but there was also a texture pack floating around either by connary or darknut that was close to the originals.

Wow, there are some beautiful screenshots here!

I recently started playing Morrowind again. After years of vanilla, I also finally got modded out. Don't know how I ever played without the MGE.

Wow guys/gals! Your screenshots are amazing! I can't believe how far Morrowind Modding has come! Now I really want to play the game again. I was giving it a thought a few weeks ago anyway because I love the story.

That's what I miss from MW--the head/eye tracking--that our characters in Skyrim stand there like immobile mannequins really annoys me. I like that Chimera is looking up it gives her some believability not seen in Skyrim. She's a very attractive character!

I know what you mean! I really want this back...in Oblivion I made a house on the lake for me, and in the floating garden I had a couple of flying Colibri birds. I loved to sit my character among them and watch them as they flew around.
