They stopped in Stonehills, and decided to spend the night there.
It's crazy, really, Jelissa thought as she and Corwin had dinner, http://i.minus.com/ipjRx0PlsEezP.jpg. What do I know of this man? He's a Bosmer. He likes to joke and to hunt, he hates the Thalmor. He must like adventures, or he wouldn't have offered to come along. And he's good in bed. And that's about it.
Maybe that was all she needed to know, she thought. He didn't tell her anything about his background. http://i.minus.com/i0hHQtjHwoxuE.jpg

After a short stop in Morthal to buy some supplies, they continued through the frozen marshes. Corwin was at home here, and could http://i.minus.com/iNKWlxcd23mVq.jpg to a barrow he knew of that seemed to fit the mark Arngeir had made on Jelissa's map.
A few slain bandits, dinner and some sleep later, they entered the barrow early next morning.
Inside, they found that they weren't the first. The dead had already been disturbed by necromancers, who probably had tried to dig into the barrow to find whatever treasures was in there. http://i.minus.com/iunqHN2afbNFM.jpg, and the few remaining draugr were put to their final rest with Corwin's arrows and Jelissa's sword and fire shout.
They went further down.
”http://i.minus.com/i4CWJhhLw6VZ4.jpg – would you look at http://i.minus.com/ibbhSiBNbOstqK.jpg?”
Further down. More draugr, but not many. A few http://i.minus.com/ixDosLNdfj4t0.jpg, shattering like brittle glass as the arrows hit them.
http://i.minus.com/imMgjtguWse7p.jpg They made a campfire to roast a couple of rabbit haunches, and bathed in the spring water while they waited for the meat to get ready, then made love. They swallowed the over-done meat down with water that left a taste of iron and moss in their mouths.
Only one way remained to be investigated. It was guarded by strange stones, that http://i.minus.com/iumRQpmTRAIjp.jpg when they got close.

”Mm... You're right. And then the gates close again, too fast. Luckily, I think I know a way...”
Despite that Jelissa figured out that the whirlwind sprint shout was about to come in handy, it took several attempts before she http://i.minus.com/iz3kG9xUhBZzq.jpghad gotten them both through the gates.
They had to jump and run over fire traps, but the only enemies they encountered were a few http://i.minus.com/irp8ZAlmr7xNS.jpg.
http://i.minus.com/isAu6oLZx8Mwv.jpg through the darkness to a gate. Jelissa felt a bit uneasy as she pulled http://i.minus.com/iiI09CJXVAEp0.jpg to opened it, Dustman's Cairn with its multpile draugr guardians still in fresh memory.
”Watch out”, she warned Corwin as they http://i.minus.com/iYRPyTevbBeQL.jpg to the inner chamber, and a low rumbling noise was heard.
The water began to boil, and statues rose from underneath the surface.
Nothing else. Jelissa relaxed a little – but not completely – and http://i.minus.com/iS8kt7pbpFlUy.jpg towards the elaborate sarcophagus in front of them. http://i.minus.com/iZcHwDZjW4VXW.jpg, she thought – but something was amiss.

”There's no horn... There should have been. Was this somekind of fake trial?” Jelissa felt the anger built inside here. Had they put her through all this, just for nothing? ”Come here, Cor, can you hold the lantern for a moment so I can http://i.minus.com/inW13BkyJmxJd.jpg?”
”http://i.minus.com/iLRN2ZDJB7cU3.jpg 'Dragonborn. I need to speak to you urgently. Rent the attic room at the Sleeping Giant In at Riverwood, and I'll meet you. A friend.'”
Corwin began to laugh. At first, Jelissa frowned at him, then she laughed too. They had gone through this entire barrow, only to find that someone had sneaked in the backdoor, killed the two draugr that apparently had been guarding the tomb, snatched the horn from right under their noses and then left.
http://i.minus.com/ibw3oLcqOd2Stx.jpg when they had come out from the barrow and were eating some bread before going back to Morthal, ”it's really all your fault.”
http://i.minus.com/i2YoJUsTrYron.jpg
”It was your idea to bathe in that spring, you know what that lead to... If we hadn't stopped for so long, we might have beat this mysterious 'friend' to the horn.” She punched him lightly.
Corwin shook his head and chuckled.
”You're no hunter, sweetling. The air in there was stale, there was no scent left from a living man or woman. That note had been there for a while. I can't tell you if it has been days, weeks or even months since the horn was taken, but it surely wasn't hours.”
Jelissa pondered on this as they walked back to Morthal. There was something about that letter she couldn't quite put her finger on. Something – odd.
