So heres the deal: I have a few scripts running, and I wish to keep track of a few of the numbers in these scripts.

Basically my question is, how can I make a simple hud element that will show a variable (a short in this particular case) on the HUD? I found a short tutorial on making an image show up on the hud (http://darnified.net/forums/index.php/topic,180.0.html) so mostly im looking for the basic set of commands for numbers instead of a picture..

Dont get me wrong, these scripts make tons of sense, but the collection of seemingly random tags in these xml files loses me somewhere.. Any help i could get on this matter would be awesome.
