I wasn't bothered by sixuality in Metro. I was fine with the strippers in Venice, I was more uncomfortable with the Quarantine six scene because it was so out of the blue with virtually zero, it any, contextual lead-up to it.

It's not that I don't like seeing / doing it because it makes me uncomfortable.
It's that I don't like that "Let's get it on!!! <3" part of my brain accessed WHILE I'm playing my videogames.
Well they can have the whole six scene with full nudity for all I care as long as I have the option to hit the space bar and skip it (like you could in DAO) if I want to. But I'd really rather they not bother with adding nudity or six scenes. I just don't think it's needed and it just looks awkward. Even a kiss often looks awkward in a video game ... and I don't recall Bethesda even doing that before in FO or TES. Bottom line it just lowers Bethesda's overall standards IMO.
~shrug~ Whatevs. Show it, don't show it. Showing people having six doesn't contribute much in and of itself.
Well I recall The Witcher 3's devs saying that showing the six created a bond between the PC and the woman which made the quests involving her more emotional and urgent to the player. That could be I suppose, but I can't imagine Bethesda's story being that deep.
Most time i find all the romantic/six nonese not needed in Fallout games, i'm fine with a "Fade to black" style that they have always used.
While the witcher does a good job at interating those scenes, it has also to do with it fitting the game more simply by how it is presented. The Witcher is gritty and realistic in its portray of a medieval society, so why not show all the ugly and beautifull parts of life as the witcher. Also, they spend enought time building a rep with each character to make it believable that those women jump in bed with the Witcher, its not like they see him and imediatly jump his bone, though i imagine some would
^Quoted for the truth why are so many people in world today wanna impose their will on every other person?. also fixed the end for ya
true it doesnn't but the hypocricy of this all is that is real ok and fine to shoot and murder people in 101 glorious ways , that is real okay
but showing how you look naked and what you do in bed naked is considered such a despicable act that i can not be shown
by the way some of the most downloaded mods and populair mods for the previous games were the advlt oriented mods
At first I didn't understand why they do this cause the six scenes always look so stupid and cringey.
Then I remembered that for a 14-year-old guy, this kind of stuff is "JACKPOT!!"
Then I realized they do it to make money. Lots and lots of money off lots and lots of teens that don't know of anything better.
Still, I don't think Bethesda would include this, so don't worry.
that actualy makes me laught when someone then awsers on this statment with "But kids play these games!!" Like violance isn't worse or equil to six in games. Also funny how backwards that atitude is compared to tv, showing "saving private ryan" before 10pm here (netherlands) is a no go, but 8pm pormo on tv is just perfectly fine
PS: this is not aimed at the above poster but some more vocal anti-six and violance parties (MADD = Mothers Against Drunk Driving and sorts.)
Well to be honest the combat gore in games looks stupid and cringey when compared to the real thing, but few thankfully know what the real thing looks like so most accept it as is. six on the other hand only takes a Google search to see the real thing so it's easy to see how 'off' the whole game scene is.
About being ok with violence but not six...
Idk, maybe one reason for this is that six is (usually) private while violence is public as often as private.
Perhaps because teenagers can be a bit obsessed with six.
Maybe "highly intimate" is the key to why six is such a loaded issue.
Definitely, yes.
No, simply because when it's done, it's never done well.
People arguing with "so it's ok to show graphic violence but not six?"
six scenes- Great.
Fallout - Great.
six scenes in Fallout - you decide.
How would you like it if you were watching a war film, say "Saving Private Ryan"; (that film was violent) then in the middle of the battlefield Matt Damon suddenly gets down on his knees and starts going down on Tom Hanks?
"Oooh. Dun lyeK, Dun wotch..."
"But they're having six in the middle of the battlefield!!"
"Dun lyeK, Dun wotch, kiddo b'cuz you isn't mature 'nuff 2 f@ce rea!ty UNgh Ungh..."
Um comparing having six in the middle of the battlefield while the enemy is attacking you compared to being in a post apocalyptic world where prosttutes will exist and people will have six in certain places is just wrong.
People will never have six in a battlefield unless they occupy a city or town, then the soldiers will have six. There was a part in Saving Private Ryan or was it Band of Brothers? I think it was Band of Brothers. Where a soldier had six with a woman in the town after they captured the town.
All he has to do is drop the Axii sign
Okay not really, but I think the edgy scenes where integrated into the W3 quite well.
Oh I think the gore looks stupid too. I'm....a naturally curious person, so I've clicked some photos on the subject matter when the sort of NSFW tragedy news stories come up. The gore in video games is downright [censored], and I'll never understand the enjoyment of it. Any legit gore I've ever seen was purely to feed my curiousity, and was seen with a look of sorrow on my face, not as something to celebrate and be like "YEAAAH IM SO AWESOME, EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T SEE HOW AWESOME I AM SHOULD HAVE THEIR HEADS EXPLODE LIKE BALLOONS."
Will never understand the gore in video games. I'm partially convinced Mortal Kombat is satire at this point.
I don't really care. I just find it funny how people don't mind having swearing, violence, murder, war etc. happen in the video game but then try to take the moral high ground when it comes to something as natural as six and try to outlaw it from the game.
But no, I don't think Bethesda will include a graphic depiction of intercourse in this game. They haven't in the past, so I doubt they will now.
Me too. This is one messed up taboo. One of the more natural things is viewed worse than the really messed up stuff like cannibalism, disembowelment and other forms of extreme violence. I am good at getting in people's heads, but this is just beyond me.
Hey how about a compromise - A SKIP SCENE BUTTON?
I personally wouldn't care either way. I think it should be shown simply because it's M-rated and I'm tired of all these games being censored because.. obvious and nonsensical reasons..
On the other hand, I feel the scenes in games like Witcher series and Bioware games are just goofy, and it's more so embarrassing than anything when they're displayed.
Well, BGS is edgy, but not so much about six, per se, at least not as far as visually showing any such acts. Violence and various highly charged sixual jokes/statements (e.g., necrophlia) are certainly within BGS' content, though.
six can be shown in excellent ways (i.e., emotional connection and commitment, not titillation... making love, not simply having the physical act of six) but Western companies have pretty much never done so (despite America having the largest advlt entertainment industry in the world, last I checked). There are many examples of excellent portrayal of emotional connection and relationships in Japanese visual novels and adventures, but most of the market in the West views such works as "p0rn" (i.e., anything showing six, even it is the culmination of a clearly depicted deep, developing relationship established over time, is automatically "p0rn" and not worth serious consideration).
Someday, I'd like to see a greater acceptance of such content in the West when done well rather than the rather immature attitude we still have. We still see violence as part of interaction as "okay" but six as a "no-no". It would be nice to see a shift to offering content that stresses "make love, not war" for those of us who prefer the latter message.

People love six. Many just don't want it in their games. Pixelated six is not so entertaining. Inuendos are enough to spark my imagination much better than actual pixelated six would.
