Is showracemenu safe?

I want to tweak my character's appearance a bit, not the race or six but just make minor adjustments to the face. Is the console command "showracemenu" safe?

As long as you just stick to the face, you should be fine.

No console commands are genuinely safe. They've not been tested, fixed, or intended for use outside of their normal usage.

Using showracemenu will reset and equalize your magicka/health/stamina points based on your level. You'll lose all previous customization.

I changed a haircut without any problems. It probably gets dicey if you change race or gender though.

Also, if it works like in FO3/NV, you can only enable the menu once per session without glitches.

Only if you change your race. Making adjustments to your character's looks is fine.

It works fine as long as you don't change your race/gender/preset. Though you will lose all currently active spell effects such as enchantments, racial passives and blessings. Enchantment you can reapply by reequipping the associated item. The blessings are obvious, and the racial passives have to be restored through the console command "player.addpsell".

I never had any problem as a result of changing gender or preset (after 30 or 40 changes), though it may be different for everyone. The only thing guaranteed to mess up stats is changing your race. More info in my sig.

Battlecry is in active spell, so it shouldn't disappear on you. To get any spell's SpellID just use the command
help "spell name"4

to add the spell to the character use the command
player.addspell "SpellID"

If you change the race or even scroll thru different races your skills and perks will get randomly swapped ....

Simply saving, returning to main menu, and reloading should fix racial passives. Also:

Spoiler
Werewolves can just go beast form, and wait for it to wear off. That will restore your passives.
