So you're saying the DB is wrong about everything if it's wrong about one thing? :icecream:

I completely forgot about the Wrath of Sithis...

I'm not saying Sithis isn't sentient. But he is beyond our scope. He can't take on physical manifestations like the Daedra can.

I can tell you what is not speculation, that every story concerning the Night Mother has been different in significant ways, from Daggerfall all the way to Skyrim. Unless she's a dunmer Thieves Guild member, who was part of the Morag Tong, that birthed 5 children, killed them all, but those same children grew up to be the Black Hand, and that she was burned at the steak, even though her corpse shows it wasn't, and that the Night Mother is also a title in the Guild.... Nope, can't be Mephala at all, and that each and every story regarding her is 100% correct.

And I don't think you understand what we're trying to say, and instead choose to insult us.

What I originally meant to say. Was that Sithis is so far beyond what we mortals consider to be gods. Like I said I doubt he realizes there's a group of fanatics killing in his name. Also he is not a dark brooding lord like Morgoth or Sauron from LOTR. Again Sithis is real, there is no doubt about that. But he is nothing like what the Brotherhood thinks he is. I don't think he benefits from the Brotherhoods assassinations in his name at all. That book you quoted about Sithis having 5 children. The author claims to had spoken to the Nightmother could have been talking to Mephala instead, who again gets her kicks at manipulating mortals. You know whats another name for Mephala? The Webspinner.

You refuse to think about anything on a deeper level than what we're given from NPC's.. and then assume we think the developers are wrong when their the ones who hint at the reality within the game world.

Yeah. I get so disappointed when I see Sithis threads cause I know it'll almost always be about lord mcbloodstabsdeathdarkness that the mortals concocted instead of what is actually Sithis.

Arkay and Lorkhan aren't dark and brooding enough, even though Arkay is the death god in TES (along with birth), and Lorkhan is also seen as death in the merrish view (yay limits)

The Hist acknowledging the being of chaos isn't really a revelation. Almost everything about Sithis is allegorical.

I think the thought of Lorkhan being Sithis is badass personally, and was a theory that I always liked.

"Mortals often represent Sithis as a skeletal being, to signifiy his relationship to death. In truth, the Dread Lord is formless, and infinite as the Void."

It's kind of official.
