then again it will probabley be 800ms and homefronts dlc is going to ad on to the story mode so don't dis
Don't get me wrong I was really psyched about Homefront and thought the idea behind it was genius, I even went to the midnight release. Unfortunately I'd beaten the game on hard before daylight and it felt like the story was just getting good when it abruptly ended. I feel sorry for anyone who played on easy as they probably got through it in 3 hours or so. Its the only 360 game I've ever actually sold, I got rid of it the next day so I could get still get my money back while it was new. If you wanna talk about ripoff DLCs you should look no further than Homefront's "battle code". If you didn't buy the game new you have to pay out the ass just to level up and get new weapons in multiplayer, that my friend is BS.
So it's acceptable to shoot for just above the bare minimum?
Activision is able to do the bare minimum for add on material, and sell over a million downloads at 15 bucks a pop, and since it's multiplayer it technically could add hundreds of hours of gameplay. But is that what the industry should aim for, and what gamers should expect and accept from the industry? I thought that Dead Money was a quality DLC, but I'm not able to spend 30 dollars or more extra on this game for a little bit of extra content with how expensive games are as is.
If you like the game you'll be willing to spend more money to prolong its life. I'm basically bored to tears with New Vegas right now with several hundred hours on the clock there's nothing left to do. I'll buy the DLC so I can get new weapons/equipment and experience the storyline because it will allow me to enjoy the game again. Its better than Fable 3's "dye packs" or Mass Effect 2's "appearance packs". Lionhead and Bioware basically pioneered the art of doing the bare minimum with their DLCs.
