sick setup brah

Sooo, I'm thinking about dropping a couple g's on a new computer so I can play Oblivion like a boss. I wanna be able to use all the best texture mods, the kinda stuff that would blow up my current computer if I even thought of trying to play with it. Also I'm planning on hooking it up to a big tv and playing with an xbox controller or something. (lol is there a mod so I can use my kinect?) But I don't really know whats out there for texture mods anymore. I mean QTP clearly (or is there something even better?), and then RAEVWD, but what then? I remember seeing a lot of really awesome stuff back in the day, but I cant really put my finger on what they were now. Any suggestions?

OH and hey! I'm not just looking for texture replacers either. Anything you'd love to use in your own game but the fps hit wont let you. Just pretend Mr. Obama bought you some alienware number just to be nice. :D

Here's a suggestion: Don't use self-engrandizing frat-boy language. Ask your questions straightforwardly.

If you're looking for texture replacers, try searching the textures category at Nexus. Organize your results in descending order by downloads or last update or by most recommended. You'll find everything you need, and you can come back here with specific questions about the results you find.

And yes, I have done that. I'm just looking for some personal suggestions, what people have really liked. I remember seeing some very interesting stuff in the past.

Here's a suggestion - don't bite the hand that feeds you.

We're a relatively mature community here, and good English is something I'm happy to say is very much predominant in our posts, even those by non-native speakers. This is because when you communicate with other people, it helps to be as clear and concise as possible to avoid confusion and make it as easy as possible for readers to correctly interpret your post and so enable them to give the quickest and most accurate response they can.

If you're here trying to pick up girls, I can only say you've come to the wrong place, and I'd suggest you shut down your computer and instead head to a bar. If you're here to get help, I suggest you start being helpful yourself. That includes using the search function.

Listen, I've been around this website awhile, and I would not exactly call this community mature, unless of course uptight somehow worked its way into that definition. Whatever though, I really don't care.

What I do care about is getting some ideas for what to use on my new computer. I've been looking all day and I can't really find what I'm looking for. I like Qarls texture pack, but I'm wondering if there might be something even more ridiculous out there. Something that really makes you wonder if a screenshot is from a video game or not.

I don't know about textures for Tamriel, bnut if you're looking for things that look amazing, you should check out Oblivion Real Estate-- some of the Worldspace Mods I've seen posted on their forums look almost like a photograph, than a screen-shot-- if anyone knew the best resources, it would probably be some of those guys :)

Yeah, neither do I. Good luck in your search.

Well, didn't this go well right from the start?

If the OP wants to either try again with a less confrontational attitude, or search for what he wants, that will be good, but this topic is closed. The others who made unnecessary comments in their posts should take care in their future posts on these forums as well.
