[RELz] Side's Sailing Ships

I crash too much while using this mod, like when I take a companion(any companion) from the interior of the ship to an exterior location, and randomly while sailing.


OBSE version? did you try to disable any other mod for testing?


I also think it would be a good idea to make it possible to move a ship from one worldspace to another somehow.


yes. but how do we push the ship through a load door? put it in a pocket and inflate it there? or better summon it?

it would also be possible to create patches for that worldspace mods and add trigger boxes and teleport markers. like load doors for the ships...

I don't see any need to actually transport a ship to the Isles, but having a couple of ships (a large one and a small one) actually available in the isles would be cool. I started speculating about what a Shivering Isles ship would look like like, and got to thinking about all the stone furniture. How about a stone ship! It would fit right into the realm of madness.

My ship disappeared today. I left it on the waterfront dock whilst I was in the IC, and when I came back all that was left was the sail, floating in the air (I'm using the small wooden boat)

the sail was left... nice, this is new... you could try to save and load.

the disappearing is still not reproducable for me. :(

Once you finish up this mod, you should work on a mod that adds http://www.iwozhere.com/SRD/images/88268_620_154.jpg to the oceans. It would be lore-friendly since the book "The Infernal City" confirms that they exist off the coasts, and everything in that book is official lore.

Just an idea. It would keep things interesting :)

But how would they be able to attack you? Since, from what I've noticed, there's an invisible wall around your ship while you're in sailing mode....and making it possible for your ship to sink(due to a sea dragon attack) would probably be very difficult to script...:(

I wish the water in Oblivion went forever like in Morrowind. Well, it does go forever but eventually just disappears.

Used to have a nice island that took about 10 minutes to sail to with smaller islands and floating debris along the way to help navigate.

Love the mod so far, haven't gotten around to testing it much, but have had no problems so far. Not a fan of pre-decorated interiors, like to do so myself, but that's just me.

no. not at all. how did you notice it? maybe you are talking about another ship mod...

I'm also experiencing the disappearing ship bug, though for me, no sail is left. I left my aylied ship outside the anvil docks. When I went back to my ship it was gone. I used fast travel and appeared at the bottom of the sea. Does anyone know why this happens?

Yeah this is what happened to me. Fast traveled and ended up underwater. Only happens with fast travel though, never happens when I don't use it

no. try what i wrote many times before: save the game and load it. the ship may be back again.

i added a new feature to the upcoming version that as a side effect makes it almost impossible to disappear. if the ships still disappear with the next version, i won't fix it (i can't, i don't experience this issue).

Tried that. Now the map marker has disappeared.

this is interesting. it would help to know where the marker is gone! maybe it leads us to the position of the ship?

ok i have read this topic and could not find my answer so if it is there, sorry for the repeat. I was sailing the Big Elven Ship and disided to check out the interior so i stoped the ship. Loved the interior!!! I tryed to exit the interion and ended at the bottom of the ocien with just the mast and sails visable.

also i have notest that people have been sailing to lawain (sp?) and the Imperial City. My question is, Is there another mod for this or did you make a water way or what? I have tryed moveing the ships the the IC docks and sailing them from there but with no luck.

i don't think you really read this topic. half of the post are about disappearing ships and several users discussed about that other mods improving the shipping lanes. so read it again! if you don't want to go that deep, please DON'T use a BETA!

(the next one who writes about disappearing ships gets cursed by me. don't try it!)

but... how did you actually move the ship??

He added little feet to it's bottom, his ship is of sapient pearwood, you know...
jokes aside, apart for the bug-not-to-be-named, it works all right, but it would, in my humble opinion (IMHO), be better if the ships were scattered around different ports... and maybe some would be abandoned around? who knows?

it's almost impossible to find a free site in cyrodiil... if the other provinces finally get populated i will think about it again...

Have you researched some more on adding ripples in the water when the ships move since last time i asked ?
To my knowledge the only ones that makes ripples are PC+NPC+mudcraps.
If you're clueless , I think I`m going to open a new thread, in hope to find some solution.

And again I would like to say thank you and I love your mod :wub:

i could replace the dummy rat with a mudcrab and look what happens. if it doesn't work... there's MUCH more important work to do...

as i mentioned before, it's not just 'adding a script'. but i would like to do that. unfortunately someone must make a mod to open the shipping lanes. otherwise you wouldn't get far...
