This sounds great, after I re-read it again. I can't wait to play it! I'll be playing it as soon as I'm out of school! Keep up the good work!

i don't think you really read this topic. half of the post are about disappearing ships and several users discussed about that other mods improving the shipping lanes. so read it again! if you don't want to go that deep, please DON'T use a BETA!

(the next one who writes about disappearing ships gets cursed by me. don't try it!)

but... how did you actually move the ship??


I used the CS and moved (cut & Past) everything asociated with the ship to the docks in the IC.

Okay, maybe I'm the only one having this problem, but when i download the file, I begin to use WinRaR to unpack it and then it says there is a missing file or something. Sometimes whenI re-download it, it'll say that the file is corrupt and can't open. Is there any way you can post another file in the 7-zip version? I appreciate the mod though, it seems amazing.

ok. i'm pretty sure winrar doesn't 'say' something. and almost certainly 'missing file or something' is not part of the error message. so please try to open the file AFTER the download is finished. (if i didn't understand you wrong...)

as i wrote before: it doesn't delete the bridge in leyawiin and there are some landscape tears at the waterfront.

this isn't 'massive'. i will fix it someday...

Well, I tried it out, and it's massive for me. The whole city of Leyawiin is in mid air, and there's some hideous land tears. I can't get past without using the 'Free your ship' spell, not just because of the bridge.

ok. please tell me WHAT plugin did you try? i am using the BC version of shipping with DRAWBRIDGES, which might be different from the original. and BC leyawiin of course. (not OC)

if you use this version too, please disable ANY other mod step for step (even the mods that you think don't interfere here, they may be unclean) to narrow this down...

I'm using OC Leyawiin Reborn and ShippingInCyrodiil_Normal_Lights_V1-1 - With Drawbridges. The Better Cities version of ShippinginCyrodiil crashed on launch.

great mod, can't wait until it's finished. Functions are fine, it's just when I parked my boat outside Anvil to go sell stuff; I came back and the ship was gone with the quest marker having moved inside of Anvil. So I used tfc to see if it was in the false exterior (I don't use better cities), but nothing.

I came back and the ship was gone with the quest marker having moved inside of Anvil.


it is impossible to see the quest marker in anvil while you are outside. so how do you know this?

i have the permission now from kyrielle to improve the drawbridges. but i will only make a BC version...

the ship scripts are running fine now. you will be able to enter the cabins while sailing... the first step for auto-travel!

because it's MUCH work to clear the way from leyawiin to the waterfront. and for vanilla the normal 'shipping...' should do it...

Ah I might have misunderstood.

I think new Roads and Bridges would require a more serious set of patches to make this work with it.

It adds a bridge that is low (like the IC main bridge) on the south side of the IC island near fatback cave that is too low for ships to pass under - well they probably could, but the issue would be that the tops of the ships would clip through the bridge.

Then there is a smaller bridge added to the island north of Layawiin connecting the island to the cave with graveyard out front. That could be removed and a drawbridge put in.

I posted about this somewhere before. Either here or on Onra's thread.

NRB is easy to install (and does add a lot to the game).

If I were you I would not even bother adding anything to the IC waterfront. it seems to me that every other mod that goes near the IC does something to that area and it is really easy to get a pile up. the southeaster section of the IC (just north of the tall vanilla bridge) is rarely ever modded and wide open.

my 2 cents anyway.

i would do it. but i think it's not evil enough. the wood is far to bright, looks like dirty white wood. i would like evil black ebony much more... if i put this ship next to the 'good' elven ship it should be a real contrast...

Yes, i see your point. i was only suggesting that since I have no idea where tofind an ebony texture resource... I could try and make one...

do you use photoshop? i just made an ebony texture for my furniture. it's easy if you can handle photoshop...

otherwise you can find TONS of textures via google.
