Theo nodded at Leon's comment. He knew he didn't meant it. He was just happy with the fighting he had been doing. Then Khasar announced they were being pulled. It kindof went in one ear and out the other, but when Khasar went to leave, it really hit him. 'What?!' he thought and followed after him. Farmer plopped himself down in front of Khasar in the mess tent. "What the flying [censored] was all that about?" Theo yelled, both arms spread out on the table "Just when its starting to get good, you pull us out, just like that?" He was no longer pleased. Farmer had been ready to actually follow orders while they were on the front lines, and now they were being pulled? Deep down, Theo knew it wasn't Khasar's fault, but he was pissed, and he was the commanding officer, so who else did he have to [censored] to? Farmer would be sure to give him hell.

After all the fighting Leon finally walks to his tent, takes a seat on his army cot.."Feels good to sit down for once.."He then notices an opened cigarette pack, with only one sticking out of it.."Is that what I think it is..?" He picks it up.. "I haven't had one of these about 6 months.." Leon wasn't addicted to smokes at all, but he occasionally smoked a cigaretted or cigar. He then pulls his zippo out that he usually uses for molotov cocktails, and lights it, then begins to smoke it.."Feels good.." After he finishes smoking it, he rests for the remainder of the night..

The next morning.

Leon exists his tent, walks to the aid station being the 3rd to wake..He notices Farmer getting frustrated with the Captain. He walks up to the both of them, begins to speak to them.. "What's the matter guys? Anything wrong?"

"Shut your mouth," Khasar said, an angry tone in his voice, "You have been a big problem ever since you were transfered here." Khasar glared at Theo, "Do you want to be put back as a frontline soldiers?" Khasar asked, "Where your rations will be back to the standard, and it's much harder to get replacement gear, think yourself lucky."

Khasar sighed, "I'll find out later, something else has come up, thats why we are here," Khasar told them, "Enjoy it, because you may only have a short time left." Khasar carried on with his breakfast, keeping his eye on Theo, the man was becoming a handful, he would most likely consider putting him back if he didn't become more cooperative.

James had just woken up and came to the mess hall for breakfast, when he saw Khazar and Theo fighting once again. James said to himself, "Thank god I'm just a Sergeant, it means that I don't have to deal with this [censored]." He then went back to eating his breakfast, hoping the fight wouldn't end up hampering their combat effectiveness as a team.

Henry awoke to the sounds of Theo and Khasar fighting. I'm starting to get the impression that Khasar isn't a very nice guy Henry sat down next to James and said "I can expect at least one of us will die, Khasar can't push Theo too hard, after all we're all mercenaries. Theo can to strike out solo." Henry poured some brahmin milk and munched on sugar bombs. "We have more resources if we work as a mercenary band though," Henry grabbed his gear and went to pick up his payment at the logistics depot. There he got a nice bag of 100 caps and was feeling better when he went and reported for duty. "Sir should I wake up the troops?"

Khasar sighed, he was tired, the war had taken it's toll, and Theo wasn't making anything easier. "Urm, Captian Temu," someone asked. Khasar looked up at himself being called and sked, "What is it?"
"You're to report to the Major."
"Now?"
"Yes sir."
Khasar sighed, "Be there soon."Leon, keep an eye on them," Khasar told him, "Everyone, you can find out what is going on later, tell Private Sanchez this also, meet in the briefing area."

Khasar left, Sybil had called him finally, walking through the ruined streets of Chicago, not as many people roaming around as you would think, considering the city is the main hub in the area. The war had driven many people away, but some stayed. Khasar looked down an alley, he could see a women, huddled with her child, those who stayed it wasn't easy on them, getting food was difficult for them without joining one of the sides.

As Khasar made his way into the central part of the district, it as much more lively, most of the people here were those of duty, though some had decided to set up shop, the most populated building being the brothal. Seemed most likely, most thought it would of been their last day and thought they would enjoy it.

Khasar finally made it to the headquarters building, just of the district center. Going in, the building still showed the wear and tear of it's age, not fully repaired yet. Going up to the second floor, Khasar found where Sybil was. Going in, "So what do you want Sybil?" Khasar asked her, loathing in his voice.
"Thats Major William to you Captian." Sybil told Khasar, showing the same distaste she had for him, as Khasar had for her.
"So what do you want?"
"New orders," Sybil replied, she pulled out a map, hand drawn with notes over a certian area. "See this?"
Khasar nodded, "Seems like a compound."
"Correct, ammo dump we believe, your job is to blow it up," Sybil told him.
"But what use would that do, it's way out of anywhere we plan to attack." Khasar pointed out.
"Exactly, it's a distraction," Sybil said, "Blow it up and hopefully they'll move troops there to keep it undercontrol, hopefully thinking we'll attack there."
"And if they don't?" Khasar asked, "I'm not sure blowing up one ammo dump will get the required troops moved."
"Delta squad will destroy this," Sybil replied, pointing to another location, "Again a compound, what it contains doesn't matter to you. You shall do it tomorrow"

Khasar nodded, "I'll leave shall now I?" Khasar asked. Sybil nodded and waved him off, going into a book. Khasar nodded, and left. Tomorrow then, it might make though it may make Theo happy, and keep him out of trouble.

Leon nodded as Khasar left.

I wonder what Sybil wants from the Captain..Leon thinking to himself. Possibly, a new mission? Leon liked the thought of a new mission since all he knew was fighting. But, perhaps it could be something worse? Like perhaps they might be loosing, or took another heavy hit on the battlefield? What am I thinking? Leon thought to himself. I should really stop questioning everything that happens. Leon then waited until Khasar got back, while keeping an eye on everyone as he was ordered, afterwards he yelled out. "Khasar's squad meet in the briefing room, tell Private Sanchez when she gets here." Leon leaves the mess hall, and heads to the briefing room.

[OCC: Also, Blackmane do you want the rest of our squad to meet in the briefing area? If so i'll edit my post again.]

((Yes please.))

Khasar walked back through the district to where they were based. Khasar now had a smaller map of his target which he got from someone else at HQ. Khasar woundered what to do with the squad for the rest of the day, let them off the hook and let them enjoy themselves? Or drill them and make sure they were ready. Khasar was leaning more towards giving them the rest of the day to enjoy, or rest depending on what they wanted. Would also be easier on himself and the Lieutenant.

As Khasar carried on, a women's scream broke the silence of the morning, followed by three gunshots. Khasar rushed to where he heard the shots, without a weapon he had no idea what to do, he hadn't seen the need of one to go and get orders. Coming to an alley he saw a women, supposedly the one that had scream, her clothes badly torn. She was trying to hold the ruined clothes to her chest, the gun that had fired next to her. Soon Khasar's attention was to a body, laying on it's front. Khasar knelt down next to the body, flipping it onto it's back. Seeing it was a man, he had taken all three shots to the chest. Khasar instantly knew what had happened, it was also very common, and almost everyone was armed with some weapon or another. This man looked like he thought he could of got what he wanted with a knife, not thinking the women would have a gun.

Khasar took the dead man's coat, and gave it to the women. "Put it on," Khasar told her. The women nodded, fear in her eyes, wondering what Khasar wanted to do with her. Khasar wunderstood this, he himself didn't have the most welcoming face. Khasar put her on her feet and took her back to the district, taking her to the clinic. Khasar paid the doctor to check her for injuries. Leaving them to it, he made his way back again, time to deliver, the good and bad news to the rest.

"Roger that!" said Henry, he made his way to the briefing room and was reminded how bad it was out here. There were rats everywhere and a whole lot of mud. By the time he got to the briefing room he felt exhausted. "Why did I have to take a shortcut through a ruined trench?" He sat down on one of the chairs and waited for everyone else. After hearing some rumors about the Silver shields second in command Sybil he was starting to seriously doubt the command structure. "Hey you know what, these guys are more like a small country rather than a mercenary band." There probably wasn't a way to escape Chicago now, there could be no escape for the Silver Shields unless they had to punch a way out of Chicago.

Leon notices Henry walk in through the shortcut. He hears Henry's comment, and respondes. "You're right we are sort of like a small country, i've always thought of us as similar to the New California Republic in the west, except not quite as big, but more tolerable people and stronger soldiers..

James started walking over to the briefing room when he slipped and fell in the mud. James thought, "Ah [censored], this stuff is nastier than Brahamin mudpies." After picking himself up, James ran over to the briefing room, his uniform still covered in mud. On his way he saw trench rats feasting on the corpse of an expired soldier. James thought, "This is why I hate abondoned trenches, no one's probably been here for weeks, and they're even nastier than usual." When he walked into the briefing room, James said, "Reporting for duty, sir. What are our orders?"

Khasar finally made it to the briefing room, he could hear them talking, as long as they were getting on. Going into the briefing room, it was called that out of ease, it was in a ruined building, under what was left of the roof. Khasar came in, not everyone was here. "Did anyone inform Sanchez?" Khasar asked, he could see on their faces no one had done, "I'll do it then." Khasar went out again, heading for the barracks, again another ruined building. Finding where Ellie is, Khasar grabbed what looked to be someones shirt and threw it at her, "Wake up, briefing in the briefing room, now." Khasar told her, leaving straight away, not waiting for an answer.

Few minutes later Khasar was back at the briefing room, "We'll get down to business when Sanchez is here," Khasar told them, "Though it is to do with a new mission tomorrow."

Ellie's sleep had been uneventful for the rest of the night. However, that morning she was woken up by having a dirty, sweaty shirt tossed at her face from her captain. She let out a yell of disgust. After dishing out some orders to her, he left the barracks.

Ellie wasn't particularly tired, but she wasn't motivated to get out of bed that day. Slowly she strapped on her boots and equipment. As she looked around the room she noticed it was where all the lower ranks were bunked. It didn't necessarily bother her, but she noticed it.

Minutes later she silently entered the briefing room the others were in.

Khasarewatched as Ellie came in, "Now that everyone is here, lets get down to business." Khasar said. Khasare brought out the map he had been given and unrolled it on the table. "Now, tomorrow we'll be attacking this location," Khasar told them, pointing to the compund, a few hundred metres behind the enemy trenches. "It is believed destroy these will weaken enemy lines somewhere else, allowing for ano offenseive." Khasar took a deep breath b efore continueing, "And over here, Delta will attack here, same objective as us." Khasar waited for a few moment for it to sink in.

"Okay, getting across is most likely the hardest task," Khasar told them, "We'll leave from this section of trench, and make our way across to these ruins." Khasar pointed out the locations, "We'll regroup there before making the last stint of the run," Khasare said, "We are in for some luck which is that the enemy trenches are broken up by this building here, we can use it when we get across."

"When we do get to the compund, we'll split into two teams, one led by me, and the other by the lieutenant." Khasar told them, "We'll scoer more ground in the compound, blow the dump and get out of there. Any questions?" Khasar sat down on a chair, waiting for what he hoped wasn't a barrage of questions.

Leon getting up from he was sitting. "Alright Captain, sounds fine to me." Leon thought for a moment. I wonder what's so special about attacking this compound? A distraction perhaps? Either way, I got to do it.

Henry listened intently and the asked the commander "What will the teams be?" Henry knew the importance of ammo dumps for mercenaries. They were like small countries but in the wasteland ammo was still scarce and it was a shame to blow up all that pre-war gear. If we succeed how will we get out alive? He assumed that the offensive would rescue them but he knew they would have to prepare a plan to get out alive as well.

Khasare thought for a moment, "I'll take Sanchez and Carter with me and blow the dump it' self," Khasare told him, "The Lieutenant here, will take you and Farmer, and that squad will sercure the area, understood?" Khasar put farmer from him because all likely hood Khasar would affect him when there.

"Well thats all I assume, getting out we are on our own," Khasare said, "Get what gear you need, then go and do what you want, rest of the day off."

"Yes sir!" Henry stood up and quickly headed to the armory to pick up what he needed. He was worried about farmer but was sure that when he was in combat he would listen up fast. He chose to add on a grenade launcher and have an MP7 as well. Seeing the others getting their gear he said to them "Better grab some extra ammo," Henry also took along some smoke grenades to help make their getaway and changed his SCAR-L to a SCAR-H. His team was gonna be the distraction so he needed some more fire power. After arming himself he walked over back to the barracks and made sure all his gear was in order. Making extra care to bring along his personal gear he guessed that even his pack was slightly heavier. Chances are they would have to make their escape by moving away from Chicago, even if it meant getting cut off. They may need to stay behind enemy lines for some time too. He also threw in some mirelurk cakes in his bag too, they didn't go bad for ages and was a good travel food.

After hearing his orders, James decided to go to the armory to collect some more ammo and a brand-new shotgun, perfect for breaching doors. He also replenished his supply of grenades before heading to the mess hall and picking up some Mirelurk Cakes for the journey. James then walked over to Henry and said, "So what did you do before getting involved with the Shields anyway?"

"I was an officer in the Enclave, I was just promoted recently after getting a GECK from Florida, its pretty bad over there I have to tell you. However, internal power struggles led to the project of deghoulification tossed aside and a lot of good men got pushed aside to a job at some remote outpost. The new leader started ranting on and on about a new project for the Enclave to pull out to space and create a massive colony on the moon. The GECK that I had gotten was used to create a biodome on the moon. They said something about some alien tech they had acquired. Of course I think they crazy. I left and took as much Enclave technology as I could and even managed to take a portable stimpak synthesizer and buried it where I could go back later when I had the resources to move it. So here I am," Henry hadn't told anyone his story and was glad to finally tell him his wild adventure. He then went on to invite James to sit down and eat some food while he told him the entire story. ".. . and that's when the thing struck out and hit me- oh dear would you look at the time!" 4 hours had passed already and Henry reluctantly said goodnight to James and went to sleep. "I guess I'll tell you that ending the next time we have time."

"Sounds good, Captain." Leon left to the armory after the others. I need something a little more powerful. He notices a rack full of a assault rifles. "Ah. This should do the trick." Leon picks up a fresh M4 carbine, then picks up a few 30 round magazines and loads one of them into the gun, then wraps it on his back. Leon then walks over to another table and picks up two frags, and puts them on his combat belt. "I'm ready." Soon afterward, Leon went back to his tent, to get a good night's rest.

Theo had leaned back in his chair, listening to the mission. This was one of the few times Theo shut his mouth; he didn't want to get himself killed because he didn't know what he was doing. When he heard he'd be put into Leon's team, he laughed. 'I'm gonna have fun with this..' he thought to himself. Theo stood, flipping the chair with the back of his legs as he did so. "So we get to blow up their toys?" he asked, rhethorically "Thats sounds a bit more exciting than the front lines." Farmer left with the others to go to the armory. He didn't really need anything, he just wanted to go and see what was there. He was happy to be with the distraction team. He heard Henry comment about needing more ammo "No need." said Theo, holding up the ammo box and tapping the side of it "I have enough ammo in here for all of us to survive the seige on our own."

Ellie took in what Khasar had to say. She was probably the only one that was surprised. The squad had been together for only a few days and they were on a high risk assignment. She had only been in the field of duty for two months, which made the mission even more surprising. A wave of uneasiness overcame her.

As Ellie entered the armory she looked around for anything she would need. She had the tools she needed to tear apart a tank, and she was fine with the P90 she had been issued. In the end she packed a few more supplies for explosives, more ammo, and some food.

Ellie let out a long sigh as she entered the barracks. She wasn't tired, but she laid down in her cot to think about things, and to prepare herself mentally.

OOC: I gotta take off tomorrow evening, I'll be back Monday. In the meantime, Blackmane or Polish can control my character. Sorry for the short notice, I'd like to stay in this RP though.

Khasar sighed at Theo's comments, this was not something to enjoy. Khasare looked through the ammo, find the right size for his thompson. After finding a few magazines, including a new drum magazine. Addind a 10mm pistol to his gear with a surppresor and two grenades. With a few comments of Theo's Khasar sighed again, "Do not take this so lightly," Khasar told him.
