Sierra Madre: New Beginnings (A Roleplay)

In the years before the Great War, the Sierra Madre Casino was planned by Fredrick Sinclair to be one of the most beautiful and luxurious resort casinos in the world. He used what was left of his very substantial fortune to ensure that no expense was spared, and that everything was just perfect. Even some of the latest technology from Big Mountain was included in the Casino’s design, including hard-light holograms, cosmic knives, and most importantly: the Sierra Madre vending machines.

All of this however, was designed with one singular purpose in mind. A purpose which Sinclair kept secret to everyone but himself. The Sierra Madre was to be not only a resort: but a veritable fortress designed to keep himself and his then lover: Vera Keyes, safe from the approaching doom that was the Great Atomic War of 2077. A purpose that would be tested the moment the Casino opened.

On the night of October 23, 2077 the Sierra Madre was scheduled to officially open in the grandest of fashions: with a huge Gala Event party which would be a night to remember for all involved. It turned out however, to be a night of absolute horror, as the Great War struck the same night: bringing death in its wake as the Sierra Madre turned against its guests. The Casino and Villa became a massacre as the cloud flooded the area, holograms turned hostile, and the infamous “ghost people” first began to show signs of what they would eventually become.

As a roleplayer, you will play as either a member of the Sierra Madre staff, or a guest at the Sierra Madre during the Gala Event and in the aftermath of the War’s arrival. The roleplay will begin in the idyllic setting of the pre-war world, and will quickly devolve into a fight for survival as the Sierra Madre comes crashing down. Your characters will need to overcome the dangers, traps, and obstacles in the post-war Sierra Madre and Villa and survive as long as possible in this new world.

Name: Trey Labhart
Background: Trey graduated from college with a degree in business, with ambitions of becoming an economical pioneer, but, however, due to lack of available jobs, he became a construction worker for several years. Eventually, because of his business sense, he was able to become an independent contractor. He has led a fairly normal life, is unmarried, and does not have many ambitions of his own, except to continue working. When the plan to build the Sierra Madre was set into place, Frederick Sinclair requested his services with an offer that Trey could not turn down. As of now, he is in the service of Sinclair, as long as he continues to be paid. He regularly conducts maintenance, some shipping matters, and construction around the Sierra Madre and its surrounding Villa.
Age: 28
Appearance: Quite tall, at a height of 6'2". He has a normal-yet-fair looking face. Also, due to years of heavily working, Trey has built a considerable amount of muscle and a decent tan. However, he has slightly noticeable acne scars, which lightly line his lower face.
Clothing/Armor: Owns a suit and several pre-war outfits, but wears a jumpsuit and hardhat during working hours.
Occupation: Independent Contractor
Weapons: Trey does not have any conventional nor practical weapons in his possession. However, with that being said, he has a numerous amount of tools in his possession which could be used as weapons.
Misc items: No items of note. The regular, essentially: A few cigarettes, a swiss army knife, and a small flask that is occasionally filled with whiskey.

Eh. Whatever you can manage.

I know a lot of people are busy around the forums (including me) so I plan for this to be a pretty laid back RP.

Edit: Nice CS Gingy. Accepted.

Just to be clear, you don't have to be a guest. You can be part of the Sierra Madre staff as well. I plan on my character being the Chief of Security actually.

Thank you.

Sounds like our characters are going to cross paths a few times, then.
