Really? So you can climb alot and then get mowed down by the enemy AI that is 100x smarter then your own team. Sounds like fun. Maybe they should have made this a smart simulator game then. Liken it to portal. Cause the other content is lacking in both amount and quality.
I feel your mixing two complaints together. The movement has nothing to do with the AI.
As for the AI I tend to agree with this guy's comment.
Here is something that I've learned about the AI in Brink. When you play on Easy mode the friendly AI is actually competent. They will buff you, re-supply you, revive you, and go after objectives. In fact, you can take a support role and allow them to do all of the objectives. The problem with Easy difficulty is the enemy AI is significantly dumbed down to point that the game becomes stale due to lack of challenges.
Normal and Hard difficulties actually dumb down friendly AI, make them more passive, and also increase the intelligence and aggressiveness of the enemy bots. Increasing the difficulty of the enemies and turning your teammates into morons does not offer a challenge, it's just very frustrating
I believe Splash Damage actually did a pretty good job with the AI, they just did an awful job balancing it. Apply the AI of friendly bots on Easy across all difficulties, and you'll have a much smoother game.

I like the challenge of the enemy AI but they can be almost too good at times. Especially when up close. They are extremely deadly with shotguns and the melee/shoot combo up close to the point where it's not humanly possible to win that battle. Even at range they seems to be deadly accurate. That being said they are AI. There's no way to make them play exactly like humans. If they weren't a challenge the game's single player and co-op would be stale and IMO that would be a bigger problem then them being too hard at times.
And honestly if it wasn't for the lag I wouldn't be caring about the enemy AI's difficulty because I would be playing versus multiplayer where human opponents are not as good, your quick movements can actually get you the advantage. Sure they may get you some times but that's the risk you take. Movement for less health. If you want to be a heavy then play a heavy, like i do most the time, for the added health but you really lack in movement and your ability to get to places on the map.
