RP Sign Up: The War of Tamriel

With all these weird combinations of alliances, I got a very odd picture of Orcs running into combat against Argonians, with Altmer supporting the Orcs and Dunmer supporting the Argonians with spells...

Well at least it makes this RP interesting and unpredictable, it would be a bit boring if all the alliances were obvious. :)

Yeah haha

Of course most of the time the most obvious alliances are the ones that will work the best in the long run.

Well I can guarantee you that the Almter and the Orcs will certainly not be allies. In fact the way the Orcs have attracted so much attention is surprising and quite interesting considering the weak state they are in, lacking in both armies and general land. It pays off for the Orcs but their allies will most likely be shafted in the long run.

Maybe everyone is simply trying to covertly say they hate Bretons.

All those possible alliances with the Five Kingdoms will remain speculation until Camaron gets his brothel on, of course. Rumpy-pumpy before politics, guess who won't be attending the banquet.

That surprised me too. Possibly it is because of the shiny armor? I'd liken it a little to a USA Civil War scenario, where the Orcs have few men but experianced officers. There were many Orcs that joined the Imperial Legion.

I think I've decided how these negotiations will play out, so as to make it more organised.

We'll have two parts to each day, Morning and Night, with a timeskip after the end of the morning section.

Morning will be used for the 'main' diplomatic meeting and Night will be used for private meetings, such as the dinner that The Khajiit and the Altmer shall be taking part in.

We'll do this for Ten Days or until everyone has decided on their alliances and is ready to move on to the next section.

Sounds good to me. Is there going to be any "leader" for the negotiations to keep things organised?

Well as we have 10 days, I think the 'leader' could change between each day. So that each race gets a chance to lead.

EDIT: And yes Anticlere that was the original plan but now we're lacking an Imperial to lead. Perhaps your character, King Cameron could lead the first meeting?

Personally I figured it would be the Imperial delegate heading things off since this is the capital of the Empire after all, but we're one short right now.

EDIT: I suppose Camaron could do that, seeing as he's the highest standing person there and all. Are there some sort of outstanding issues we're supposed to base the peace talks on or at least kick them off with? 'World peace' is a pretty broad subject after all.

Snow-Scale actually wanted to talk to the ambassador of the nords. but since the ambassador of the khajiits and orcs were close to him and he was already talking to Deltis, Snow-Scale decided to be polite and adress all of them.

he is particularly interested in an alliance with the nords and the khajiit. if the Alfiq gives his message to the ambassador of Elsweyr, he might have dinner wit him that evening.

I would just roll with it, the biggest elephant in the room is the Argonian attack on Morrowind, so perhaps start with that and go from there. Of course we can't start the meeting until absolutely everyone is there, sans the Imperial until we get someone willing to play him/her, we'll just write it off as he is very ill.

yeah, but still. what did the dunmer expect? they keep argonians and khajiit as slaves for ages and treat them like animals that are only good for hard labour. the argonains decide that they won't take ik anymore and rebel. freeing themselfes from the dunmer and conquering morrowind as payback. now what did they expect? when a person keeps mistreating someone, one day he's gonna wake up with a dagger in his throat (figurly speaking.). same goes for races. and now the dunmer act like they are the victims ? :P

anyway, Snow-Scale has a preposition. one that even the dunmer would be interested about. they don't want war. infact they are quite happy with what they have and are not really interested in land-expansion.

All are valid points which you should bring up in the meeting and I think perhaps they should become interested in land expansion, as this RP is about each race trying to create a new empire off the back of the Imperials.

well. right now they are not. since they still hope the meeting will end without a war breaking out. but they will know it is the best thing to do, although Snow-Scale hopes to form some sort of republic were everyone is equal.

yes he will adress those points in the meeting. those dunmer with their damn pride. thats infact the only thing Snow-Scale would love to conquer. the rest of the Dunmer home land. with the help of the nords and the khajiits that shouldn't be a problem because then they are completely cut off of the other provinces.

Ah but will the Nords decide to ally themselves with the Argonians? Especially considering the peace offering they sent to the Dunmer, in order to help them 'recover'.

yeah well. that was before war was going to break lose. and don't they need the ebony? or am I messing up my lore? I'm not sure anymore. I'm not really familiar with lore surrounding the dunmer and nord politics. I only know they have been at war for long and several times.

I'll make a claim for the Imperials. I figure they are sort of important what with the first half of the RO centered around their capital and all :P

Sorry Yttrium.

And not so covertly saying they hate the Bosmer

Meh, okay. One condition though.
No allying with the Bosmer. Damn annoying little tree huggers.

Seems a little mean. We're lovely people once you get to know us, we look bad because we export our insane rather than treating them. (See Fig. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Glarthir and Fig. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal:Gaenor)

The mistake you made was not bringing a female Bosmer delegate. Everyone loves female Bosmer and hates the males, Tamriel is sixist like that.

Yeah but I can't write for women, so she'd be a silent but pretty Bosmer... Actually that sounds pretty good.

I've replied Athell by the way, I see a long alliance on the way for the Bosmer and Altmer.

I noticed, do you want me to jump in with another reply? As do I but perhaps we will need a new name Aldmeri Dominion doesn't sound good to new allies.
