I dont own an xbox or ps3, I only game on the PC. However, I disagree that Crysis 3 should be PC exclusive. Not realistic.

I won't sign.

They clearly wanted to change their fanbase. And they can stick with it.
I just hope crysis3 will be console exclusive, so they won't embarass us and themeselves anymore.

That's right.

Yesterday, I decided to give a go to warhead one more time. And I was surprised, everything looked so sharp. Of course, it's not so colourfull and eye candy, but I instantly felt in front of a pc focused game.

On top of that, I had more fun playing warhead. Later, I played another 30 min of crysis2, got bored (drove car like 5 meters, linearity, blurry, waves of ,soldiers like in cod..... boring and old-fashion).

Really, if crysis2 wasn't released on pc, crytek would still have his notoriety.

Thanks iPwn, I do not know why my thread was originally moved out of here in the first place, as it's exactly where it belongs. :)

Sadly I completely understand and I almost agree but I will sign it. Although this was a major blow to the Crysis series and I wish they would have put together a new title to showcase CE3 for all platforms I do believe they can still save this franchise by patching C2 and considering what has happened so far with future releases. I don't think it has to be PC only but they need to heavily re-evaluate their priorities. I definitely feel embarassed and betrayed and anything I can do to let them know it, the better.

Signed.

lol at the very idea of them turning down millions of dollars because of a petition, if i start a petition asking you guys to get your heads out of the clouds you think that will do anything?

70000 signatures is a low number to demand a PC exclusive like that and so far you have 2.... good luck.

you need at least 700000 signatures that will force to think about that idea at least. Maybe.

Personally I don't want them to turn down the opportunity to make millions. I just want the best damn PC Crysis game they can create. They set the expectations high with the first two games and then marketed the third way beyond what was released. So, I'm let down becuase I spent a lot of money on a game I thought would be something better than what it is. I take full responsibility for that and as a faithfull consumer I'm going to follow up with what I'm dissapointed with.

...how else are we to get what we want in the future if we don't communicate our dissatisfaction.

Its having a stupid issue with updating that number, I might have to move it to a different site.

I generally don't believe in petitions but it was requested so I made one... They generally don't work, but w/e.

I would rather have the main thread moved over here like it originally was.

Still 70k, even if you pull it off is a low number.

Crysis sold 3 million copies and still crytek thought it was pretty low so they went multiplatform to achieve more (and they didn't even reach 1 million, sad).

This is a sink hole that you can fill with signed pieces of paper until judgement day and there will still be a big sink hole ready to eat more, now they have the numbers for the sales on consoles and pc they are not going back to only pc, especially not with EA as a partner.

Yeah what a brilliant idea. Crysis 2 sold over a million copies for 360/PS3 combined, but only sold 150,000 on PC. If they made Crysis 3 a PC exclusive, they might as well just flush their money down the toilet. PC gamers hack/cheat on an epic scale (witness Crysis 2), they pirate, and even Crysis 1 and Crysis Wars had pretty dead multiplayer communities. I got Crysis Wars shortly after release, and there were many times where there were less than 100 people online any time I tried to play. It was still fun, but it was a ghost town. Crytek want to make money, so they are going to just laugh at the idea of making C3 a PC exclusive. It's bad enough that Crysis 2 is such a hideous abortion of a game on all platforms, but at least they got some sales off of hype alone. Crysis 3 is basically dead on arrival right now, Crytek will have to really work hard to come back from the failure that is Crysis 2. They aren't going to commit career suicide by making it a PC exclusive.

This is a company. They're not going to make major decisions based off of an internet petition that a very small fraction of the fanbase might sign.
There is more money in a multi-platform game. It is a business. Decision made.

Crysis 1 sold 3.5 million physical copies, that is hardly career suicide.

The profit margins of a digitally distributed PC title are 3 times the amount of one retail console title. The PC has huge benefits when it comes to profit margins that makes exclusive developing or atleast focused developing become a reality. Crytek sold this multiplat title and got less money than a PC exclusive... I think that says a lot about how they should reevaluate their priorities.

The thread title should also include "PC focused". The petition isn't asking necessarily for PC exclusivity, but atleast a PC first focus in its development like what Battlefield 3 is going through.
