I'm glad to announce that I have continued to work on the old custom horse armor project and that I've managed to replace the steel armor texture with a new, custom made one.
This had been the last obstacle to overcome before being able to release the meshes.

Here are some new pics:

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z133/mr_siika/Misc/horseArmorLeather01.jpg

I need to find a scripter to help me make the "Chose your horse" bit, but I guess everything will be ready within the next week.

those look cool indeed!

I saw you posted ages ago that you would release a stand-alone version of your new Minotaurs and tents/totems for them too (stand-alone as in not just in Elsweyr mod). Now that I see that you're back to modding a bit, do you think you could release that any time soon too? :P

I have been very busy lately, but not with modding I'm afraid ;-)

Anyway, I made another part of my http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18979, for those who are interested. It's about smoothing meshes.

Btw, I have a new WIP:

I already saw your new mountain set on Photobucket and it looks fabulous! I'll check out smoothing tutorial too, although I'd like to request that maybe once when you'll be less busy you make animating in Blender tutorial and creating creatures tutorial.
I have looked at the meshes that you have made for Elsweyr and there are some genial details, for example the path under the lizard that spins the wheel. Really smart!

I have desire to create some new creatures sooner or later so creature setting (rigging, whatever it is called) tutorial would be absolutely necessary for me.

Thank you for everything you do including the tutorials. Helpful on so many levels.

Thanks everyone. Hope the compendium is understandable and useful.

Have you tried http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Blender/Creature_Meshes_101? I learned rigging and creating creatures with that very tutorial.
I could not write anything more or better than this.

I haven't seen that tutorial, thanks!
So, maybe Blender animation one day? Your compendium is very simple to follow! No pressing though! :)

Hard to describe; the big tower for example is one mesh. the smaller Tower is another. There are meshes for the walls (straight, curve, gate) and another mesh for the little golden tower. The retextured Bruma ledge set is one mesh, the stair towards the big tower another.

I have no interiors yet, as I'm waiting till centurion has more time to help me with them...

Really nice stuff there. Good chamfers and vertex shading. Nice choice of contrasty textures.

I was on an architecture jag up until I quit modding. Good to see new things still coming out from more talented folk.

Tutorial for smoothing is nice, although I have already been smoothing my meshes. But I haven't knew about knife tool, usually I use Bevel so it was also useful to me. I like how your meshes are always clean and well planned. I would made that window by subtracting cube with modifiers and I would have some diagonal edges. Yours is always orthogonal.

And by the way, thanks again for creature tut link. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll54/pero_lozhach/Icons.jpg went well, more or less. :)

Great stuff Siika :liplick:
And the Blender compendium is very tasty, i really like it. Any chance of other pdf tutorials regarding texturing-from-the-scratch and/or weapon/armor making, in the far future ? :P
