How about a goat?

I think Francesco made a goat...its in MMM and Frans I believe...

Correct it was NewComer24 - Francesco's that made the goat's and those are both in MMM and Frans..I can add those into Mr. Siika Farm Animals resource along with some new textures if needed. Since I have permission to use them from a long time ago.

Mr. Siika, I will have some update rabbit nif and textures for you..I detailed the rabbit texture themselves some more and the normal map so that they are not so shiny anymore.

How about camels? Now that would be cool.

Also, I thought of an idea for fighting from horseback. I am aware there are huge scripting problems for horseback fighting, so how about the entire creature skeleton incorporating the rider. Mounted archers and other cavalry would be a possibility. The limitation obviously is that the entire beast, being a single model would be inseperable so no climbing down for the rider and going to bed. Is there another work-around?

sorry I don't know much about scripting... about the camel. I think this could be a little difficult as there is no skeleton apart from the horse that would fit the camel. and the horse skeleton moves completely different. not camel-like at all.

on the positive side: I have a new little modder's resource in the making:

Ravens :-)

they'll work similar as the seagulls, so they are not creatures but activators.
I think it'll look cool when they circle around towers...

thanks! I can't wait to see them circling. nick_op has agreed to help me again! for those who don't know he's the one who animated most of my seagulls as well, and he did a fab job on that.

Mr S. Whilst you are on an avian push, how about vultures. They could be quite useful to have over old battlefields, ruins, etc. Sitting pecking at the area, then going up, circling? Possible?

All animated activators contain one/several animation sequences. A moveable wall, for example, might contain a 'forward' sequence and a 'backward' sequence, each of which would move it in a particular way. The more complex a movement you want (like with your idea for the vulture), the more sequences you need and the scripting gets more complex to compensate. So while what you suggest is possible, it would be quite a lot of work. There's also the problem of players that decide to shoot arrows at them. ;)

If Siika likes the idea then I'll have a go at all the necessary animations, we'll just have to see what he says. :)

I've been asked (by Rung) to make a vulture before, and I have no problem with that. textures will be the most work.
modelling will be easy, couple of hours.

@Rung: If you read this, I sent you a pm at the NWJ forum, as your TES-Forum account does not accept pms.

The vulture model is finished. nick_op, if it's ok by you, I'll send it to you tomorrow (sunday).
Another thing I noticed today: when I place several seagulls, they (obviously) circle synchronously. it's not really a problem for seagulls, as we have enough different animated meshes there.
but it looks a bit artificial for ravens and vultures, cause all they really do is circle ;-). is it a lot of work to have like three or four versions with different "starting points" for ravens and vultures?

You know, technically it's possible to make them creatures. All you need to do is take an invisible mesh and place it in the air, put some waypoints on it, put it in a subspace and you're done.
I just tested it yesterday with imps around the Imperial Palace. Looked really nice!

Disadvantage: They'll disappear when they're too far away and there's no way of making them VWD (unless a bigger mesh would work).
Advantage: If you have a balcony on your castle, you can have the ravens (or other flying creatures) attack the player. And if they're close enough to be in viewing distance, they'll cast nice shadows.

edit: Oh wow, just noticed the vultures. They look awesome!

Feel free to send the mesh whenever.

Regarding the starting points; isn't it possible to rotate the activator in the CS? That would solve the problem, I think. Unless, of course I'm misunderstanding what you mean.

Mr. Siika thanks for posting the bats and rabbits update at tesnexus also..

Here is last of my updates for your resource's mods. The foxes..

Additions: Red&Brown by Mikal33, Gray fox by Corepc

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p305/corepc/redfox3.jpg

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p305/corepc/brownfox2.jpg

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p305/corepc/GreyFox.jpg

MMM users the gray fox will replace the darker orange fox in MMM now..do not use esp supplied with this in mmm..Use updated Mart's Monster Mod - Foxes.esp instead in MMM thread..

Fixes
  • Added all 4 of them outside of Fox hut in bruma
  • Added MsFox leveledlist and added this to LLDeer100 lvl list for randmon encounters with them in forest area's
  • Added ImperialLegionFriend faction to them..Imperial Legion is very fond of Foxes.
  • Added Foxpelt to inventory item's..

Notes:
If using rabbits from above , you need to use wrye bash in order to get both foxes and rabbits to show up in game..
Or merge them together and add both msrabbits and msfox levledlist (not addonlvl list) to deer100 lvl leveledlist.

I add my thankyou-s as well, CorePC. More practice bashing. I suppose it's good for me  I am looking forward to rabbits that hop and foxes that look like foxes in my game.

Thank you Mr Siika for creating such fantastic animals and corepc for helping a nonmodder for ways of getting them into my world.

Finally something new:
Durzog: (requested by Silgrad Tower)
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/9715/durzog04kx4.jpg
For those who don't know: the Durzog is a Morrowind/Tribunal creature. I know my creature does not look exactly like the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Image:TR-creature-WildDurzog1-Side.jpg,
but I think it'll be fun to fight it just the same ;-)
