loving the constructs, your dwemer style is really interesting. a great mix between traditional morrowind, volenfell kragen, and the fancy oblivion meshes. the jurad set is also a beauty, and wonderfully easy to work with. shame that NWJ doesnt see another release coming :(

No, but I think the interior meshes I released for the Griffon Fortress should be fine for those meshes as well.

which one? They work fine for me...

Hey, sorry to invade your thread mr_siika, but did you get my pm?

Oh and those Dwemer constructors look awesome, they remind me of the command and conquer Tiberium series :D

Mr S. I will have a go at the interiors, they would be neccesary for Mesogea anyway. Once they are done I will post them up.

Hello
My thanks to you for making the farm animals and subway. The ones I have played in my mods. and those yet to discover.
I have Jurad but lowerhouse2 nif has no collision so I put a collision box around it but as soon as I tried to place it in then TESCS crashes.
(You know they say this is the program the developers made oblivion with you would have thought they make it easier to use. I bet if they had spent a bit more effort on the TESCS the devs would have finished Oblivion in half the time)
I don't really know collision but I can put collision on a table, crate even imported 3d models and put collision on but it's all trial and error.
I shall figure this out , I hope.

Requests and ideas?
These may have been done but your stuff is so gooooood!

Zebra,
okapi
badger
squirrel

Moose
beaver ------rat mesh would work I bet.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbzFNBQorGI&feature=related ooops wrong clip. I'll look for another. :)

Bird in a cage

and here's a real challenge ... A playable goblin race. :dancing:

I updated the first post with screenshots of my newest WIP. I decided to add another ship, and this one is special ;-)
It's not finished of course, I'll add more detail to it of course, but here it is anyway: the high-elven galley (or elven galley):

I like it.

Feedback:
I think the sails ought to have an irradescent, silky look to them, and perhaps angle somewhat like http://www.schattauersails.com/Sails-500k.jpg or http://www.squarerigsailing.com/images/square-rig-sails.jpg. Also maybe add something to the rear of the ship to give it a more angled look?

I just had to share this screenshot and a little story that goes with it with you:
(before anyone asks, I made it up, I just thought it would be perfect for the picture ;-) )

Few people know that during the Oblivion crisis, the Elves sent their fleet to Cyrodiil to battle the Daedra.
For reasons unknown, they were not allowed to set foot on the Imperial province. Maybe the chancellor feared
that the Elves would try to take control of the Empire.

not quite what i http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Lutemoth/Culture/altmeri.jpg, but still damn sweet.

[edit] finally found the description that is based on:
Made of crystal and solidified sunlight, with wings though they do not fly, and prows that elongate into swirling Sun-Birds, and gem-encrusted mini-trebuchets fit for sailing which fire pure aetheric fire, and banners, banners, banners, listing their ancestors all the way back to the Dawn.

This is Old Mary at Water.

the ship looks pretty cool but IMO it doesn't look elven. More like an imperial ship taken by elves and modified with elven highlights. The boat itself looks to imperial I think. I see an elven ship as something slimmer and faster like their armours

thanks, I really like that sketch, but modelling it would be rather difficult. Not at all impossible, but it would take quite some time to get it right and the nif file would propably be three times as big as mine currently is.
I decided to give my elven ship a bit of a "Lord of the Rings" touch; guess that's okay, as even the Elven armor has similarities to what Tolkien's Elves wear in battle.

I don't think it http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z133/mr_siika/elvenGalley/elven2.jpg, especially when you look at it http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z133/mr_siika/elvenGalley/elven3.jpg.
But I think I get what you mean. The ship still looks a bit 'conventional', right? I'll see what I can do about that, perhaps I'll create a new bow, something like the earlyhttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/02/Tegetthoff.jpg/800px-Tegetthoff.jpg or the http://www.plajapan.com/images/gallery/wawe-leaguemarch.jpgfrom the league of extraordinary gentlemen?

i think part of the altmer mystique and their appeal is that they defy the laws of existence. they arent some LotR ripoff tree hugging wise race, but a race of snooty, mightier-than-thou wizards, bred into perfection, obsessed with order, concerned only with themselves. the one description we have of their land is fantastical and nearly impossible to fathom (much less model): a hypnotic swirl of ramparts and impossibly high towers, designed to catch the light of the sun and break it to its component colors, which lies draqed across its stones until you are thankful for nightfall. this is what their ships should, in my mind, capture: impossibility. i would not use common place materials but instead textures that are not recognizable at first glance: http://www.esabah.com/DragonFly/LathrecistaAsiatica/Lathrecista_Asiatica05.jpg wings, http://www.whitebuffalobeadsandstones.com/pic-crystals-abalone-shell.jpg, http://vistasem.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/moth-wing-5kx.jpg things, and my favorite, http://farm1.static.flickr.com/55/152878513_425a5d2984.jpg http://www.copleysociety.org/.library/Annaiah_Light_through_glass_4_web.jpg through http://www.benarimcdonald.com/benarimcdonald%20images%20web/ceramic0%200.jpg. i would elongate the bow and adorn it with detail (once again untraceable in origin), and play with the material properties so that it reflects its surroundings or gives of light. in other words, make the us wonder whether it really is a ship we are seeing.

This looks like it would be a completely different class of ship; something that the most powerful wizards and nobles would utilize. I imagine that your ship is probably more of an all purpose, utility type of ship built for merchants and soldiers.

Very nice pictures. And your description of the altmer is really epic, I love it. Perhaps I'll find the time some day to create such a thing, I doubt it though, guess it takes a better modeller than me (ok, if Beth payed me, I guess I'd give it a try ;-) )

Yes, I'm always open to suggestions ;-)

That's a pretty awesome explanation, I'll write that into the readme.

here's a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12IDPgu3RBc that shows the Elven fleet in-game. I altered the hull mesh a bit, looks more elegant now. Neither perfect nor finished of course.

don't think I will ;-)
the version shown in the video already proved to be very time consuming. There will be interiors as well I guess, but nothing too fancy.

Added some new screens to the photobucket album. I think it is getting better and less conventional, don't you think?
Do the ships look to "white" btw? disturbed472 mentioned on youtube, that in his opinion, the texture should have more brown in it.
not sure, any suggestions?

Splendid, what a sight!
No, I don't think there's too much white.
I think it might be more pearlish, like suggested.

What a design, love it!

I see you have you hands full with these beautiful ships, but some day I do hope you will consider doing swimming swans; preferably black swans. I think they would make great atmosphere outside in a moat surrounding a dark castle.
Thank you very much for all the work you do. Everything you have done has been epic, but my favorites are the ravens. You are an incredible modeler.

Thanks! Could not resist and added another ship to the fleet. It's actually a redesigned longship of my better ports resource, but it looks rather elvish now, doesn't it?
