[WIP] Mr_Siikas Modder's Ressources #2

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:38 pm

Thread #2

Oblivion is out for some time now, and the modding community produces awesome mods since day one.
My humble aim is to help in the development of mods that make people want to play Oblivion even longer.
I am no scripter, I have not even made one single quest before. But I love to model and in this thread,
I will from time to time release meshes and creatures, free to use for everyone (as long as proper credit is
given). You can post requests, however I can give no guaranty that I'll fulfil requests.

have fun,
ms

Great resources, fantastic. Your modding skills are "magic". I'm sure others modders out there will put them to good use. Keep up the good work.

Ever thought modding some male armours? :D there are few out there at the moment :P.

Seagulls are scheduled for release in the next days...

Since this is the "official" place for that sort of announcements:
For "Prehistoric animals", version 1.1 has been released some hours ago, featuring the incredible "War-Mammoth" and
"Pack-Mammoth" ;-)

No, the mammoths are not mountable. I'm sure Divine Avenger is already working on a mountable version though ;-)
I tried out his first version (with the "old" mammoth) - turned out to be good fun!

Ah yes and I was much faster with the release of the seagulls than I expected:
Here we go:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15648
I'll make a release thread tomorrow, I'm too tired now ;-)

edit:
@Nightfyre: what ideas do you have in mind? If I like an idea it's very possible that I turn it into "reality" ;-)

Oooh, a woolly mammoth! An answer to my prayers, literally, as yesterday I just said it out loud that I wanted one!! Thankyou!! And originally I just meant to pop in and thank for the sailboats and seagulls I have been adding to my game, some things that cyrodiil was seriously lacking! The absence of small sailboats allways really bugged me for some reason...
The new castle parts look fantastic too, and ofcourse all your critters...If I could wish for anything, that would be a cat, based on "real" cats, as all the ones I have seen are based on mountain lions! (If anyone knows of a "catlike" cat, please help!)
Thankyou for all of these Mr Siika, you rock!

Actually I am :-)
But I'm just in concept phase.

well,

I'm working on http://www.mesogea.org and we're in need of some ancient creatures to add to our world. Your mammoth is definitely going to come in handy. (In fact, I'm already using them as transports!)

however, a giant sloth would be pretty cool.

Mr S. I second nightfyre. We have a nice little team effort going on with Mesogea and some really huge plains and forests etc to populate with herds of beasts. The Oblivion ones are nice enough but many just dont fit the time and place. Any of the following beasts would be a huge boon and as with the Mammoth I assure you, much use will be made of them:

Agriotherium: http://www.science-art.com/image.asp?id=846&m=0
Aurochs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ur-painting.jpg
Camelops: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Camelops.jpg
Dinotherium: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dinotherium.jpg
Wooly Rhino: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Woolly_rhino-Mauricio_Anton.jpg

And of course sabre tooth cats.

I'll think about more prehistoric creatures. I'd definitely like to create a rhino, truth be told I already had an appropriate (boar) skeleton in Blender, but I decided to finish some other stuff first.

Hm... no.... sorry :-(
It's sort of a new creature. You'll see soon ;-)

How about a goat?

That would be interesting...

And a proper wolf, the one from the game looks terrible.
