Silt Striders

I was just thinking the other day, what and how do silt striders eat? I was thinking they get water through their legs, but I don't know how feasable that theory is

Presumably they would either be fed and watered by their keepers, or drink and eat from the areas along where they roam (if wild - are there wild Silt Striders, I mean lore-wise?).

In Morrowind proper, yes. In Vvardenfell... they seem to have all been hunted by beasts (cliffracers) or ashlanders, as you only see their (old) carapaces.

I think they were left out (game limits), but they exists lore-wisely.

They have pair of legs close to their mouth, so I guess they use them for eating and drinking.

I seem to remember in Morrowind the game people were always like "Wonder how Slit Strider eat" and you read somewhere the drinking theory... Or maybe I confused that with Final Fantasy... yea probably.

I assume the same for Slit Striders, though. They have no mouth to eat with.

Judging by their size, I'd say they can eat many things...

I'm thinking water in take via their tentacles and fed by their masters, if in the wild I presume they find high trees and feed from there.

You can 't tell anything from some animals size about their diet. Case in point: the Whale Shark. You know, largest shark or something, eats only plankton.

Just the right size to munch on some delicious fungal trees.
