Was browsing through the daggerfall manual and it states that some creatures (they don't specify) are
afraid to touch it...they don't go into great detail and I was wondering if there are any hard statistics on this.
I'm sure it's just referring to the fact that some creatures can only be hurt by silver or better weaponry.
Specifically: Ghost, Wraith, Nymph, Werewolf, Wereboar, Vampire.
Beyond that: harpies require dwarven; daedra, liches, and Vampire Ancients require mithril.
Another odd thing it seems I can sell a certain style of steel pauldron and get an offer of 5000 or so for it.
Not even enchanted just an ornate looking +4 steel...anyone else?
As Dr Memory puts it, those such pieces are "supercharged." That is, they have a lot more enchantment points than usual. The only way to tell if a piece is supercharged is to, well, try to sell it like you did and notice the insane price, or to try to enchant it and notice it then. I don't know why some pieces of armor come out supercharged, or if it's intentional or just a bug or what.
