hi guys Skyrim is only a month away and if we live that long we will have the honor to play perhaps one of the best games in human history to that date....

this thread is about armor/smithing speculation AND maybe mod ideas

something we never saw in TES but was mentioned in lore was the fabled silver armor, I must say I would love to see such an armor in the game.

Also gold armor would be very cool (although it will be kinda gold plated since gold svcks as armor)

what do you think will we see gold and silver armors!!! will we be able to add silver and gold patterns to our armors!!! AND if not would you love to see a mod for such suits

The types that were in Oblivion were fine for me, but I'm glad there will be more.

I will be happy making my own armor from the hides of animals I hunt.

I was wondering why there wasn't Silver Armor in Oblivion, that clears that.

anyways back from the land of minecraft I think a gold plated armor would look great also in TES we can always enchant it to become better

and adamant armor was in MW I think

I think gold is extremely gaudy and I would never wear it even as gold plated iron or something, I just think it looks terrible.

As a Paladin/Crusader character, I much prefer the platinum look, shining armor like buffed silver or something. But no gold.

There were no silver/gold armor in any TES game because... it's a really stupid idea.

Silver is a horrible material for usable equipment as it will break easily.
Silver weapons would be a stupid idea too, if it wouldn't be its magical properties. Making an armor out of silver wouldn't do anything unless you plan on hugging ghosts to death.

well the snow prince of the elves wore a silver armor to battle and he slaughtered thousands of nords until a little girl killed him I think

Morrowind is a TES game.

I hope all types of armor that have appeared before is in Skyrim.

Imperial Silver is not the metal "silver". It's iron that has been coated with silver to give it an ornate look.
