Silver Rush dilemma

Post » Sun May 09, 2010 11:35 am

So I made the mistake of trying to walk past the guards in the Silver Rush. This caused a battle to take place and I have killed the crier out front. Now every time I walk in I am immediately attacked. I have yet to talk Van Graff. What should I do?

What gabriel said, only way for them to stop attacking you, but you could just murder them all and take everything in there, lots of expensive weapons and armour.

I did the same, immediately reloaded, and turned up the volume to figure out if I missed something that got me killed. Then after reloading, I heard one of the guards say something about the bosses being in a meeting and me having to wait. I realized this was a scripted scene they didn't want me to skip, waited, and got in without a problem.

If they didn't want us to go in yet, I wish they'd just thrown in some of those invisible walls they seem so fond of.

SPOILER Vangraffs weren't all that important . I never turned over Rose . I just louted the vsngraffs with a stealth boy . Which I regret because later I think for a mission I had to kill the Vangraffs anyway .

Walk to the right towards the fence this will start the Ms. Van graff talking to one of her underlings with her husband....after the dialouge...the guards will allow you pass..then engage conversation with Ms. Graff to start a side mission...which entails guarding the front gate of the Silver Rush

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try what lowjack said. If that doesn't work I'll use a stealth boy.

I always find it too tempting not to loot the place every play through, you get an amazing fight if your on a low level.
Just set up mines around the front door, make camp on the second floor of the building across the way with more mines on the stairs, snipe the poor guard at the door and watch as the rest come pouring out the door. :)

Man, SCREW the Van Graffs, the BoS armory merchant has the BEST selection of EW bar none. And the BoS has a doctor and free EW ammo if you make friends with them.

I remember my first time in there...
Walked in watched the show...
Looked toward Boone, and said "Oh hell no"
Me, and Boone ran to the gun counter grabbed a gun, and very slopply killed everyone in there... niether of us seemed to have any skill in laser weapons... It was like one freaky deadly lightshow in there.

There's really no reason to let them live. There are several quests in the game that require you to kill them anyway, and if you want to use Cass, you'll never be able to finish the Van Graff's quests.
