Hi all, i've just finished the silver shroud quest. I was going to do my best to get in there and rescue kent alive, but it seems the game bugged out. Every time i went down there, kent was already dead before the elevator even opened, it was literally impossible to save him.

I would really like to get the silver shroud armor upgraded though, i feel pretty cheated to lose it to a bug.

Is there a console command i can use to spawn the upgraded versions ?

You can search online for all the armor code IDs. All the levels of the SS armor are there. Just remember you normally get the upgrades at 25, 35 and 45, so if you don't want to ruin the difficulty, tread carefully.

Unless you had high Charisma, or are super quick with VATS and a super weapon, it's impossible to save Kent away. You basically have to be able to one-shot the boss before he can fire once. Or talk him out of killing Kent.

There are upgrades to the silver shroud?

If you keep Kent alive while doing the quest line, and convince him to continue fighting crime. He will provide upgrades to the outfit when you hit Lvl 25, 35, and 45. They are significant increases, and add legendary effects too, like 15% resistance to damage from humans. But it all hinges on you not letting Kent die, which, as I pointed out above, is very hard to do if you are not a high charisma character, or very powerful - enough to one-shot a tough enemy - and you'll need to use VATS.

I saved him twice (since my save corrupted too), currently playing on Survival Mode. It was tricky but it's perfectly possible, I will post a video tomorrow.

Just need to pop a few chems, mainly Jet, Psycho and Med X, then pre-fire to damage Sinjin a little bit. If you cooked up Psychojet even better. Then go for two headshots in V.A.T.S. (one preferably a crit) with a Gauss rifle, a modded plasma/laser, Gamma or similarly high damage weapon. Usually his head is lined up with the railing, if it is move in a little bit just enough to get a clear headshot in V.A.T.S. after damaging him.

After you take Sinjin out quickly move behind Kent, otherwise you will Avery kill him accidentally as he will be in the line of fire. The other two should not be a problem.

I took the Persuasion route, and got the enemies to ignore Kent that way. Much easier if you have the skills for it. Though be careful - one persuasion option gets Kent killed if you succeed. But does result in an awesome line by the main character - "Everyone listen up. I'll only say this ONE time. ANYONE who points a weapon at me is going. to. die." All the enemies will drop their weapons and run off in terror, but it will result in an enraged Sinjin instantly shooting Kent in the head.

I just turned 25 how do I get the upgrade?
