Heya, so, I'm at the end of the Silver Shroud chain quests and I really wanna save Kent. However, as soon as I get in, either Sinjin or Avery shoot him. I've tried different things, like, getting in with Jet and shoot them ~trying~ to kill them before they shoot Kent but he always ends up dead. On that note, I'm not even given the choice to talk to them at all, why would that be?

Its a bit hard to rescue him, my tips is to run a bit inward a few meters to make it easier to get headshots in VAT, use psyko+jet and then VAT, use an critical if you have, then take out the one down to the left, might be done in the same session. Finally the last to right who is more likely to fire on you or follower.

Be sure to go in dressed as the silver shroud. I know if your difficulty is on a higher setting it gets even more tough. I'm not sure why it's not giving you a dialogue option. There have been reports that it won't if you are wearing power armor. I set my difficulty to an easier one and then passed the hard dialogue option. After a few things said, one of the options was to tell them to shoot you instead. They pointed and started shooting quickly but it took their guns off of Kent. After that just try and kill them quickly. This mission was frustrating for sure so quicksave right before you go in so if it goes bad you can try again. Good luck!

If you are running in too far there is a point at which they will fight and not talk. It's not that far into the room either. I'd suggest slowly walking forward until the dialogue initiates.

Wait until dialogue initiates and then choose the dialogue option to have Sinjin kill you first, so Kent can watch. He focuses all his combat attention on you, sparing Kent.
