Simple Armor mods/packs?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:47 pm

I'm looking to add some more armor variety the my game. At the start of the game I'm crawling out of the sewers tired, cold, hungry, weak and homeless, light armor makes a lot of sense. Later in the game I'm strong enough that its worth the trade off of carry weight vs DR to use heavy armor. The problem I have is that I find low level light armors to be ugly and the best, DR-wise, heavy armor looks like it belongs in a Rob Zombie video.

All I want is some variety in my choices of armor, what I dont want is:

Overpowered Uber-Enchanted armor sets.
Armor that is ungodly expensive and/or only sold by one merchant added to the game in the very top corner of the map.
Armor that is only given as a reward for completing a 27 stage quest line replete with monsters, traps and puzzles.
Any Armor that requires any form of body replacer.
Armor that doesn't fit into the Oblivion/Elder Scrolls mythos. (so no Master Chief armor sets please :) )

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. I have fully setup my game for FCOM, but mostly all I have seen is added are lots of weapons a few shields and 1 helmet, I'm sure there is more but thats all I have personally seen.

StarX Katanas wiil leave a chest with decently powerful and very beautiful blades to start your game.

Indeed Armamentarium with Artifacts both by trollf will give about 2000 armor sets and endless weapons to NPCs, you have just to loot it.

I myself play these + everything coming from FCOM + over 75 HGEC armor sets, some of which near or in Vilverin, so you can dress yourself pretty fast (and pretty pretty :D) if you can defeat your opponents.

I agree with the OP's sentiment about armor variety.

The problem with most armor/weapon mods is that they are in one box. As soon as I get out, I can claim them, and then only I have them. Some FCOM baddies need these goodies too, you know!

Armamentarium adds them to all the baddies and vendors too if you want. They are also balanced for FCOM.

Thanks everbody, Armamentarium is exactly what I was looking for. Especially as the items are already disseminated amongst the various leveled lists. Just like in real life I hate having spend money on stuff I can get through succesful combat!
