Simple gambling mods?

Post » Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:46 pm

I performed searches on all of the Morrowind related sites I have bookmarked for things like "gambling" or "dice" or "betting" and couldn't find any mods that were convincing. I remember playing Fable for half a day at a friends house and the gambling games were pretty clever and enjoyable. Maybe I am just searching for the wrong thing but I am very surprised that there aren't some gambling mods. I did find one but it required MGE to use it and i had bad experiences with that (I have Vista and steam version of game). So, basically I am asking the community to point me in the right direction of a fun gambling mod... if there is one.

Thanks for your time and help.

I think "Vivec Outdoor Mall" includes a game of chance or two. It's an interesting mod that offers a few diversions, but I haven't used it in a long while as it didn't really fit into my game.

There's a simple gambling game in Mournhold, The Winged guard, if you have Tribunal. That's just a simple game of chance. I doubt that a Fable quality gambling game would be feasible on Morrowind.

Yeah, thank god we don't have any Fable "quality" in this game.
You might be so impressed by it, but that's only because they concentrated on crap like that instead of "good" RPG content.

Hey in Mournhold, wasn't that a game of Shells involved? Wouldn't that be a lore friendly game of chance?

The gambler appears to require MGE. Unfortunately I have had bad experiences with this in the past with it causing my games to crash quite frequently.

-edit-

Nvm, someone beat me to it. :)

That's what I get for skimming the OP. *chuckle* Anyway,I have Vista and MGE has never seemd to cause a problem. How long has it been since you tried it? The newest versions are amazing.

It hasn't been very long since I tried it but after I removed it I had a lot fewer crashes so I just assume it was MGE that caused them.
