Simple question: Can a topic header have some variables?

Why hello there,

I was interested in changing some NPC dialogues.

A NPC want to sell something to the player character and the header of the dialogue topic should have beside the question if the player wants to buy the goods also a notification of how much gold it costs.

Something like "So you want to buy that stuff ? (465 Gold)" while 465 is the outcome of a dynamic variable depending on the mercantile skill of the player.

So can a normal topic header have some variables in it or is that impossible?

Cheers

Not directly, no, but you can use OBSE http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=SetName command with dialogue topics.

As simple as with normal objects?

Just the EditorID of the desired topic and changing it then with a string?

Wow, that sounds like a promising function. I have already a script which processes the variables and I think I can use it also for the SetName then

Thanks, will try it out immediately.

Cheers
