A simple question

I read all the mod faq stuff but did not find anything about editing mods. There is a mod that I use, and its wonderful but its very cluttered/dirty and I want to clean it up but it would take hours using the z drag...my question is this. Can you use the geck to edit someone elses mod, for your own uses, not to label as your own mod and give to people...really the only reason I want to edit it is all the clutter is annoying. Please try to awnser asap so I can get started editing it or see if the author will edit it. Thank you.

Yes you can. Just open the geck and go to Data>Load and check off the mod. Be sure to set it as the active file.
