Now, according to the game upon installation of Skyrim via steam, the game said the recommended settings were "Ultra". I was a tad bit surprised honestly, I was expecting High. But no, it suggested Ultra. So I load the game up. The game looks great. But it's so choppy that I'm getting literally 10 FPS.
So, I notched it down to High. Still the same FPS.
I notch it down to Medium....still the same..FPS?
Low. Lowest settings. Blurry textures. No distant land. No reflections on water. No Antialiasing. Nothing.
Still. 10. FPS.
I load up Morrowind with MGE+NPC mods on MAX settings (complete distant land, motion blurr, the whole nine yards)...50 FPS?
I load up Oblivion with Better Bodies, Better Cities, Qarls complete texture HD pack, 50 FPS.
I load up World of Warcraft running on Ultra, extreme view distance on a massively populated server with literally a hundred of so NPC's and characters on my screen, mount up, and fly 300 feet above Stormwind so I can see it all in it's high res glory. 40 FPS.
I'm sorry but, what the heck am I missing here?
