Sims + The Elder Scrolls = Complete?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 9:02 am

If you take parts of the social life in Sims 3 for example;
- Marriage, kids, dating, jealousy, NPCs trying to murder you because your sleeping with his wife and he caught you in the act or kissing.
- Friends, cats and dog
- Decorating your house
And much more..

Then inject that into the world of Skyrim? Wouldn't that be perfect?

I don't know if its possible thru modding but... YEAH!

What is your opinion? Would you want a mod like that for Skyrim?

I don't think the OP's saying it should be like The Sims, just that the immersion elements could be implemented in Skyrim.

No. I play skyrim to become the hero of a great and mystical land. Not to sit around and live an average everyday life.

That would be great, since the Elder Scrolls community doesn't fancy socialism themselves. I think it should've been built into the game by default (on a lower scale). But this is the only RPG community that disagrees with the idea. I still don't understand you people.

Thanks for reminding me how much I really, really hate the Sims. Played it awhile back (or tried to), and I honestly don't understand why that series has spawned so many sequels and made so much $$$.

Not sure if you all understood me.

Why so negative to the idea of playing Skyrim with more social interaction and life rather then static linear life of NPCs around you.

And why negative to the idea of more freedom in decorating the houses you buy insted of having one option.

Skyrim needs a hero not a stay at home dad/mom

It's just not that kind of game. I played oblivion because of it's fantastic world and characters that you can help and save. Besides what the hell would a hero be doing meeting his neighbors and flirting with a girl while there are dragons on the loose.

This isn't entirely the case. Lot's of people would be angry if there weren't little "immersive" elements that the player could do besides quests.

Fishing
Buying homes
Being a farmer
Owning a business
etc.

All these things have been brought up in the past with generally positive feedback. So a lot of people are nuts about immersion, but they also tend to be picky about it too (as this thread has shown).

I see most response here is from people who only read topic.

I DON'T WANT THIS GAME TO look like Sims.
I WANT THE DEPTH of social life in the game to make the ROLE PLAYING GAME world more ALIVE and BELIEVEABLE compare to having a NPC being just a quest giver like in World of Warcraft...

You asked for marriage, relationships, and kids? I would only except Marriage if when you marry the game stops and a screen pops up saying game over.

"I want to fish"
"I want to chop wood"
"I want to mine"
"I want to hunt"
"I want to cook"
"I want to craft"
"I want to knit"
"I want to buy a house"

It's "Sim"ulation stuff.
It's all in Skyrim.

And you know what's funny? You like it.

But when someone suggests an extention of these, God forbid!
