Singing in the rain!

Post » Mon Aug 30, 2010 4:41 am

So, you think that we'll be able to stand under a building outdoors -WITHOUT- it raining through? It did in Morrowind, it did in Oblivion - here's to hoping it won't happen in Skyrim.

Heck, this problem isn't even present in -MMORPGs-!

Easy answer: yes, we can expect it to be solved; it's a minor technical issue which was even solved for Morrowind in a mod.

More relevant question for 2011: will rain have water layer effects, splash effects when hitting something, effects on NPC AI, and will there be rain puddles?

While it's not something that would be super important but I certainly hope that is fixed.

If the engine is is place to detect snowfall, I expect it to detect rain. This problem is fixed in a game as graphically simple as Minecraft, so I doubt it'll be a problem again.

Hasn't it been confirmed rain is dynamic too? I think it has. Meaning we will no longer suffer from rain falling through rooftops! yyyaaayyy

EDIT: My first post!

I love me some Frank Sinatra.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure they fixed that stupid problem, it was a major issue with most people in Morrowind and Oblivion, so they had to have fixed it.

I hope so, the rain through rooftops always bothered me.
But really, has no one seen A Clockwork Orange? This song scares me after that movie.

Frank Sinatra did a version of the song, just like he wasn't the original singer for Blue Moon, now stop being a turkey.

They pulled it of in Minecraft^^
Something i whould like though was that the vision will get alot worse in the rain and you will get water drops on the screen that will go down, also the armor ,, Iron armor and such should break alot faster when its raining.

I was wondering exactly the same thing! Very sadistic, especially the part this song references, yet intriguing movie!
