i find it rediculous that a game such as skyrim would require one disk even tho there so much [censored] on it in the game compared to other open world rpgs. i mean it would have to do some rediculous compression to fit in a dl dvd disc. and what? no cut scenes? is tha game even worth it then? i pity the xbox for not having blu ray.
The Blu-Ray drive on the PS3 reads a lot slower than the Xbox 360’s DVD drive. Which is why they have redundant data on the discs – it’s why MGS4 filled the entire Blu-Ray. It was not tons of epic gameplay, it was just hours of video, plus redundant data. Unlike with movies, Blu-Ray’s space advantage is utter nonsense when it comes to gaming.
The 360 version will simply have slightly lower graphics settings, not lower-quality textures. Nothing about the game data will be different, period. Just dig though the PC files of
Oblivion or
Fallout -- they even include all the controller button-images for menus on consoles.
