Single Player ..... Too Easy ??

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 12:22 am

I just finished the Campaign on the Post Human Warrior Difficulty.
And although it gave me a few challenges, mainly dealing with my stupid melee not working
or enemies somehow still shooting me behind cover. Overall if I had
played this game on a lower difficulty it would have been easy as pie and boring

Thoughts ?

Are you able to collect Nano Catalyst points....my game is glitched and it does not allow you to collect any Nano Catalyst points...cannot upgrade any suit modules...makes the game very frustrating to play...

It was pretty easy on Veteran (the second from the hardest, whatever it's called), I'm sure it's not too challenging on Post Human Warrior either.

The AI are just too easy to kill, they don't pose any sort of challenge at all. I was just playing the first Crysis yesterday, and the NPCs were WAY harder to take out, because they would actually flank you and sneak up on you.

The AI works very good in my case. Played it first on Soldier, now on Veteran. Without armor-mode turned on a CELL-soldier kills me with one salve, it doesn't even take 2 seconds sometimes. Not easy at all. On soldier I died 5 or 6 times. And I btw don't think I'm a bad player.

yeh i had problems with the Nano tech stuff, once you get the Stealth upgrade and Armour One, the game gets a whole lot easier.

I played through almost the whole game (up until the last level) on veteran, even without armor mode, the Cell are very killable adversaries. Unless your just, sprinting through the whole thing, you shouldn't have a problem taking them out.

The majority of the game consists of stealthing from cutscene to cutscene and recharging your batteries along the way.

basically if you abuse stealth to the max and avoid everything then it is easy, try to play with out using stealth at all, i managed to do it on the hardest mode like this but only due to HMG + armor all the time :p

The game is extremely easy, the AI is quite bad and this is EASIER to see on the HIGHER difficulties. Having it take one shot to die does not equate to difficulty.

the game hold your hands like a bride's father holding her hands... the AI sometimes have GPS and sometimes just finds u too easy and has alot of bugs.. and sometimes too much accuratie, that being said, i really like the alien AI tho. but the overall difficulty is easy. you know we need stuff like puzzles that u have to figure something out before you can open this door for example or if u have enough strength u can kick the door open.. but the game shouldnt tell u all of these stuff.

im thinking its because they probably hired an expensive voice actor for the nanosuit and they didnt want their money go to waste so they simply make the guy record alot of stuff..

Now that you mention it, I do feel like Crysis 2 was a bit of a shotgun wedding.

The second easiest mode was piss easy, I'm now playing it on the second hardest, and to be honest I don't see any difference except for being killed a tad easier and the range at which the enemies can notice you is increased by a small amount. I will try the hardest mode if there's ever going to be a DX11 patch released, or at least maybe an awesome texture pack.

I played the game through all levels on Veteran and Post Human Warrior. I have to say it was not as difficult as I was expecting. I played a little bit of Crysis last night on Delta and the AI were definitly harder to kill when they were grouped together.

I was playing the first Crysis to compare the graphics. I can't say with any authority as to why, but the original just looks so much better. That could be just becuase it's outdoors and foliage is easier to make look real than New York City. Still, I don't think the new game looks "crappy" like I read here. And it was still fun. Not sorry, again like so many here seem to be, that bought the game. I enjoyed it. Hope the first expansion is a little more challenging.

Also, it's more difficult depending on what weapons you use. The gauss attachment is one shot kill for the aliens. So as long as you keep it stocked, you're pretty good to go. I used the DSG and the Stealth and Demolition Scar 99% of the time. The volt was great for those nasty cloaking guys at the end. You just electrocute them then blast them with the DSG. Worked well for me.

C2 on Post Human was really no easier or harder than Crysis 1 was on Delta. Stealth in both games made it too easy to get out of trouble or pick off bad guys if you are patient, and both games give you plenty of cover to work with. I miss having a more proper final boss like in Crysis and Warhead, but those didn't really make the games any more difficult. Also, I was disappointed that the stealth enemies were only at the very end, and could be tagged easily on the mini map. I think they should have made their appearance much earlier in the game (besides the one that runs off a couple of times), and they should be un-tagable.

On the third difficulty (can't remember the name..Veteran?) I played through with balls to the wall in your face shotgun style play, rarely used stealth. If it was big, did a lot of damage and made noise I used it. That said. it took me all of 6 and a half hours of casual play (basicaly killing everything).
I just beat it yesterday and I had the game at release. I played about one to two hours sometimes didn't play it for a day or two (RL stuff). It was decently easy. A few spots where a pill and I probably died..6 or 7 times through out the whole game.
Starting now on the hardest setting stealthy like (Post-Human). After doing it that way I will probably try my very aggressive style on Post-Human.

The single-shot while still in stealth mode thing is ridiculous... Even on posthuman it's like easymode and the AI has no idea what's going on.

I feel like there should be a harder skill level or something; perhaps it'll be modded in, I would love that :-)
