Sinking Gondols Glitch

Recently I installed abots wonderfull Gondoliers mod and while I'm gondoliering all the time in Vivec I have encountered a glitch with the gondola at the landing stages: they look like they are about to sink with their front high into the air and the back under water. In a new game the gondolas are placed perfectly horizontal but every time the cell loads it turns one small degree.

Dragon32 friendly pointed out that this should not happen in an correctly updated and patched game (I'm running a patched 1.6.1820 GoTY edition. MSGO 3 with MCP 2.1 + Morrowind Patch v1.6.6_beta) but could be caused by the SignRotate Contamination of one of my mods. Because the Nexus posting functions are not frequently visited I decided to move it over here for a faster dialogue.

I'm not sure how to go on, as http://wryemusings.com/GMST%20Vaccine.htmlidentifies the scripts that cause the trouble (DagothUrCreature1, EndGame, Float, LorkhanHeart and SignRotate) but don't give a solution that seems good for me.

I have started to check my mods in Enchanted Editor and found a suspicious mod that includes all SignRotate Contamination scripts: http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/13504/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fmorrowind%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D13504&pUp=1. But the file is named "clean" so I'm nor sure if I should clean it again. Don't even know if looking for this script entries with Enchanted Editor is the right step.

Maybe I should just use the "clean all" function of tes3cmd in my data folder but this also seems a shot in the dark.

Well this is confusing. Didn't realise Kudix on Nexus was you. Here's my reply from Nexus:
Just because a plugin has "clean" in its name doesn't mean it is. That's prefixed to all mods saved by TESAME.

Thank You. So if cleaning with tes3cmd will delete the scripts and realy "clean" the mod can I still use the .eps in a runnig game and will the gondola automatically rotate to their horizontal position?

You can use a low-level editor (e.g. Enchanted Editor) to delete them, or (suggested) the CS and then re-clean

CS:

File\Data Files, select the mod and check it, click the Details button, click the ID column to sort by ID, look for lines with ID=SCPT , select lines with Description= name of dirty scripts (DagothUrCreature1, EndGame, LorkhanHeart, Float, SignRotate), hit the Delete key to mark them as ignored (a I should appear), confirm, close, ok, load and save the mod, clean the mod with tes3cmd clean or testool

Enchanted Editor:

open the mod, look for Scripts, check DagothUrCreature1, EndGame, LorkhanHeart, Float, SignRotateSCPT entries, edit, delete marked, save

note: testool can clean automatically only 3 of them ( DagothUrCreature1, EndGame, LorkhanHeart)

Did it with Enchanted Editor:

  • removed all five scripts, saved the plugin
  • updated my saves in Wrye Mash
  • loaded save without error messages
  • all gondola are reverted to their horizontal position

It seems to be solved now. I will post this on Elyndas Nexus mod page. Maybe this is something that could be included in mlox?
