Sithis' Restoration: A Fan Fiction

(My apologies, I don't know how to write a *good* story, but at least this is the basis of a good story.)

It has been two years since the Dragonborn settled down with Lydia and the adopted kids. The Imperials and Thalmor were driven out of Skyrim. Lord Harkaan was dead. Miraak was dead. Skyrim became a peaceful place. The Dragonborn lay in his bed asleep, dreaming of dragons. Suddenly, Sithis appears to the Dragonborn in his dreams.

Sithis says, "Dragonborn, my dear Lorkhan failed to put things right. Now I call upon you to be my champion." The Dragonborn was startled awake at this, but Sithis persisted in his mind. The Dragonborn replied, "I live to serve you, Dread Father." Sithis then began to explain to the Dragonborn how Enu wasn't a deity, because Enu has no personality or discreteness, that Enu is in truth the Exalted Light, yet has no consciousness.

Therefore Enu is incapable of creating anything. Sithis also explained to the Dragonborn how and why the Aedra and Daedra came to be, by accident, and that neither had any inherent right to exist. He also explained that the one He created, Lorkhan, was deceived and betrayed by the Aedra. The Dragonborn takes this all in.

After a few moments pause, the Dragonborn asks, "So you want my help in killing all the Aedra and Daedra?" Sithis does something anolagous to grinning. "My dear Dragonborn, I wish for you to decide who is worthy to live, and who must die. I place the fate of each individual Aedra and Daedra in your hands." The Dragonborn obviously looks shocked. He then manages to ask, "What makes you think I can kill an Aedra or Daedra by myself?" Sithis does his anologue of grinning again. "You won't be alone.

But first we must convince Hermaeus Mora to give up the Heart of Lorkhan." The Dragonborn exclaims, "He'll never give that up!" Sithis replies, "There is one thing Hermaeus Mora wants more than the Heart of Lorkhan, the secrets of Magnus' magic. If you deliver Magnus to Hermaeus Mora, he will give you the heart."

The Dragonborn replies, "Wait, doesn't Magnus want the heart too?" Sithis does his grinning anologue again. "A perfect pretext, requesting Magnus' help in getting the Hearth of Lorkhan out of Hermaeus Mora's hands. Very good." The Dragonborn ponders for a moment, "But how am I to get to Aetherius?" Sithis replies, "You're Dragonborn, you can shout. Shout the name A-Ka-Tosh, and he should bring you there."

So the Dragonborn shouted, "A-Ka-Tosh!", and Akatosh pulled the Dragonborn into Aetherius in his own realm. Akatosh looked at the Dragonborn and said, "You have done well defeating Alduin and Miraak. Now Sithis seeks to use you to create a new order." The Dragonborn looks wide eyed, "How do you know this, Lord Akatosh?" Akatosh just grins and says, "Because you know. You don't have the soul of a lesser dragon. If you did, you would not have been able to defeat Alduin. You have my soul. You are part of me. And because your need is great and your cause is just, I will give you what you need. Myself. My power is your power. Your will is my will." With that, Akatosh melded into the Dragonborn.

The Dragonborn now went to confront Magnus. When he reached Magnus, he said, "Hermaeus Mora has the Heart of Lorkhan. I will need your help to get it from him." Magnus took one look at the Dragonborn. "Akatosh, you always did love humans too much. Very well. The Heart of Lorkhan will be mine." The Dragonborn guided Magnus to an abandoned ancient Dwemer ruin that was magically shielded (in Morrowind). The Dragonborn opened up one of the Black Books, and called for Hermaeus Mora to show himself, using Akatosh's mastery of command.

Hermaeus Mora appeared before Magnus and the Dragonborn. Immidiately, Magnus and Hermaeus Mora began fighting, trying to gain for themselves what the other had. Then the Dragonborn shouted the words for "Death, Obliteration, Sithis" at both Magnus and Hermaeus Mora, and the both of them were sent to Sithis. The Heart of Lorkhan could not be destroyed in this manner, so the Heart absorbed all the power and knowledge of both Magnus and Hermaeus Mora. The Dragonborn picked up the Hearth of Lorkhan, and merged it into himself. Sithis grinned inside his mind, "You are now ready to decide the fate of the others."

The Dragonborn next went back to Aetherius, then called upon Arkay, Diabella, Julianos, Kynareth, Mara, Stendarr and Zenithar to him. He spoke with such authority that they felt compelled to obey. When they arrived, the Dragonborn said to them, "Your lives are on trial. Prove to me that you are worth sparing." Arkay spoke first, "I am the Aedra of Life and Death. I fulfill an important role in reality." The Dragonborn replied, "The only God of Life and Death is the Dread Lord Sithis. You are but an imposter." The Dragonborn destroyed Arkay, and stored his power in the Heart of Lorkhan.

(Note: The reason the Aedra and Daedra are calling themselves such is because belief has an effect on reality. The Aedra originally did not have names known to man or elf, but belief changed their forms.)

Diabella was next to speak, "I am the Aedra of Beauty. What would the people do without me?" The Dragonborn replied, "Beauty is a judgement, not an intrinsic aspect of reality." The Dragonborn destroyed Diabella, and drew her power into the heart.

Julianos then stepped forward and said, "I am Wisdom and Logic. You are doing this to fix what is broken with Sithis' world. Take my power and send me to the Dread Father I helped usurp." The Dragonborn nods. "You answered well. I will honor your request." He sent Julianos to Sithis and stored his power in the Heart.

Kynareth was the next to step forward. She said, "I am nature itself. You cannot discard me." The Dragonborn looked at Kynareth and replied, "Nature is made from the bones of Lorkhan, whom you helped mislead and betray. Nature exists in Mundus, not here." The Dragonborn destroyed Kynareth and stored her power in the Heart.

Mara stepped forward, "I am the Goddess of Love and the Mother Goddess. You can't destroy me." The Dragonborn replied, "Sithis is the Father. Enu, the Exalted Light, is the materia from which Aedra come, extracted by Sithis. Go back to Sithis." The Dragonborn destroyed Mara, and stored her power in the Heart.

Stendarr stepped forward, "I am the Judgement of Righteousness!" The Dragonborn destroyed Stendarr and stored his power without uttering a word.

Zenithar softly spoke, "If none of them proved worthy, how am I to prove worthy?" The Dragonborn replied, "The Aedra were a mistake that Sithis tried to correct. But you mislead and betrayed Lorkhan. Which is why I am here now." Zenithar nodded, "Very well, I am ready." The Dragonborn sent Zenithar to Sithis, and stored his power, as well as all the power of Aetherius, in the Heart.

Next, the Dragonborn went to Oblivion. The Dragonborn summoned Azura, Boethiah, Clavicus Vile, Hircine, Sheogorath, Jyggalag, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon, Mephala, Meridia, Molag Bal, Namira, Nocturnal, Peryite, Sanguine and Vaermina.

When they had congregated, the Dragonborn spoke to them, "I bear the Heart of Lorkhan, and the total powers of the Aedra, as well as Hermaeus Mora. You are here to justify your continued existence."

Azura steps forward. "I am the Dawn and the Dusk, Mother of Roses, Queen of Twilight. If it is your will, I will serve Sithis." The Dragonborn smiled, and motioned for Azura to join him.

Boethiah then tried to parrot something similar to what Azura said, sensing it was the way to live, but instead her lips spoke, "Who the hell do you think you are to challenge the Princes of Daedra, mortal? Sithis is a forgotten relic of a forgotten age and nothing more!" She was shocked at what came out of her mouth. The Dragonborn destroyed her and drew her power into the Heart.

Clavicus Vile started clapping. "Well done. This is the first time that I've not had the upper hand with a human. Now that I'm forced to plead for my life, I feel rather disinclined to. Make sure you use my power wisely." The Dragonborn nodded, sent Clavicus Vile to Sithis, and stored his power in the Heart.

Hercine was pissed. He outright attacked the Dragonborn, and the Dragonborn destroyed him, storing his power in the Heart.

Sheogorath, Jyggalag and Malacath stepped forward and let the Dragonborn send them to Sithis, their power being stored in the Heart.

Mehrunes Dagon also attacked the Dragonborn, and the Dragonborn destroyed him, storing his power in the Heart.

Mephala stepped forward, "Reunite me with Sithis." So the Dragonborn did so and stored her power in the Heart.

Meridia stepped forward, "I am the Light, the Lady of Infinite Energies. I will gladly serve Sithis." The Dragonborn motioned for her to join him.

Molag Bol then attacks the Dragonborn and is destroyed, his power being stored in the Heart.

Namira steps forward. "Let Sithis consume me." The Dragonborn sends her to Sithis, and stores her power in the Heart.

Nocturnal says, "I am the Night, Mother of Thieves, Lady Luck. I will serve Sithis." The Dragonborn smiles and invites her to join him.

Peryite, Sanguine and Vaermina talk between themselves for a moment. Then Peryite speaks for them, "So, if we are not willing to serve Sithis, we die?" The Dragonborn replies, "Pretty much." Peryite then replies, "Then take us." The Dragonborn then sends them to Sithis and stores their powers in the Heart.

The Dragonborn then gave the powers of Arkay and Boethiah to the Night Mother, the powers of Diabella, Kynareth, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon and Sanguine to Azura, the powers of Julianos, Mara, Stendarr, Zenithar, Jyggalag and Peryite to Meridia, and the powers of Clavicus Vile, Hermaeus Mora, Hercine, Sheogorath, Mephala, Molag Bol, Namira and Vaermina to Nocturnal, only keeping the power of Akatosh for himself.

Once this was done, the Dragonborn pulled the Heart of Lorkhan from himself, and then pulled in all of Aetherius and Oblivion into the Heart, and merged the Heart with the very fabric of Mundus, so that all the powers of Oblivion and Aetherius were merged into Mundus. Nocturnal ruled the night, Meridia ruled the day, and Azura ruled all that lies in between. The sun burned with the power of Meridia.

Then the Dragonborn gave rule of Sovengarde to Meridia which she merged with the Colored Rooms. Rule over the Soul Caern was given to Azura, who merged it with Moonshadow. Nocturnal merged Coldharbor and the Hunting Grounds into Evergloam.

The Dragonborn then created the Dovlokstrunmah (Dragon's Sky Mountain), a place for dragons and those followers of Akatosh who are worthy to go in death. Those who did not prove themselves worthy to Azura, Meridia, Nocturnal or Akatosh would be sent to Sithis.

The rest of the Oblivion and Aetheric planes were merged into the fabric of Mundus.

After all the details were finalized, the Dragonborn conquered all of Tamriel easily, and instated worship of Sithis as the Dread Father, and the Night Mother, Akatosh, Azura, Meridia and Nocturnal as his children. The Dragonborn then had a child with Lydia, and that child would later become Emperor of Tamriel. However, after the Dragonborn's natural lifespan was up, the Dragonborn became Akatosh once again. Akatosh, Azura, Meridia and Nocturnal still walk the face of Nirn.
