My biggest problem with six in video games is that it's always geared towards the male player (at least heterosixual males). I realize that this is the primary demographic of gamers, but I always feel ignored as a female player. In a lot of games, I also find it quite degrading to women, such as in Fallout 3 & New Vegas. So if naked dancing women are included, for example, then they should have just as many naked dancing men IMO.
Yeah this. It's not immature in my opinion if it's more realistic rather than catering to just the heterosixual male. It almost always focuses on women. It's even more blatant when the only same six relationships allowed are between women, suggesting it's not meant to be an option for women who are into women, but rather it's something that heterosixual males may find appealing.
So yeah, I don't mind sixual themes unless they are geared
only towards the heterosixual male. That said I doubt Bethesda would do that. There are references to six and non-heterosixuality in Oblivion. A man's diary talks about his long time companion as being a "beautiful male," and then there's the Khajiit book that clearly acknowledges different orientations (while at the same time promoting casual group six).
It's clear that those that say Oblivion pretends six doesn't exist are wrong. I do not think the game needs it, but I don't oppose it. I voted yes because of that. It's been a part of the series so there's no reason for them to remove it now. If they add it as a character interaction though, I definitely hope it's not as the typical "let's get the heterosixual males worked up" thing, which is in my opinion immature.
